You think you're only buying one item, but unwittingly agreeing to a subscription that is difficult to cancel. If you return unwanted products for a refund, they subtract their shipping cost when you didn't even order it. Customer service doesn't want to take flat cancel request until you have to get nasty with them which is not in my nature. The cost of the second shipped item is 3 times the cost of the originally authorized purchase. This is your proverbial bait and switch tactic. Very dishonest business practices. The real kicker is that the product doesn't even work as described. Don't waste your time, your money or your patience with Smileactives. They are a scam.

Just another scam to get your money and never give it back. It hardly works and then you have to fight to get them to stop…

I wish there was a way to rate "0" stars!! I was very nieve when i ordered the sample/test/trial size/introduction - whatever they call it, order of SmileActives. When I ordered the sample to try, i assumed if i liked it, i would likely sign up to be a subscriber. Then a full size order came less than a month later, that i did not subscribe to...or so i thought. Looking back at their website, in tiny print below the Trial sample order is a statement that you get a new order every 3 months, but it will be broken up into 3 monthy payments of $47. I was furious! I talked to a very nice, helpful C.S. rep. and she would turn in a request for a refund. As she continued to hear my experience, i sensed that she had heard the same story a million times. I felt sorry for her. Then she said she would give me a refund for the first payment while i was on the phone. And she did. I got the feeling that she might have been embarrassed. So now i have to package up this new product received few days ago and send back requesting a refund and cancelling the subscription. I have learned my lesson to always check the reviews for a new product befor ordering it. I feel so stupid! If you're reading this and all the other reviews here, surely you won't order this stuff!

Awful company. They automatically enroll you and say the customer did it. They charge you even when you cancel when you find the charges on your banking account. They need to not have a business and they are a scam. DONT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. THE PRODUCT DOESN'T WORK ITS A NASTY AFTER TASTE AND THEY ARE PUSHY WHEN YOU CANCEL.

Scam. They will lock you in a subscription without your knowledge and the payments get incrementally larger for the exact same thing.

Don’t but from them. They sign you up for a subscription without your knowledge. Now I have to pay myself to return the product and then get back what I paid minus $11 shipping. I also cancelled it and a couple weeks later get emails still showing future shipments and amounts to be charged. I am afraid they are going to keep charging me.

Very deceptive regarding subscription. The automatically charged 3-month total is $190! I’m always on the lookout for these things, so it must not have been very clear when I bought the trial pack. Disappointing to say the least! Product itself is ok, not amazing, but it does help if you are consistent. I cancelled my subscription, but still had to pay the $190.

0 Stars if I could. Unauthorized recurring charges after a one-time purchase. I bought a product once and was enrolled into a subscription without clear disclosure. The company charged my card for several months. This feels deceptive and unethical. Totally Scam
