Absolute disgrace!!
After purchasing this item and it being sent to us from Amazon, we found the same exact item being offered on Amazon for less than half the price that Smart Kids Planet is charging their customers.

Wish I could give this company zero stars! DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!! I cannot stress this enough. They sent a cheaper toy from Amazon and charged me twice what it cost them to buy. I am waiting for a paid by them return receipt, but I'm not holding my breath. My next letter is going out to the Better Business Bureau. The reviews which give them better reviews are probably part of their scam so I wouldn't trust those. Wish I had read the negative reviews before making my purchase. They need to be reported and out of business, Like yesterday.

I just read the bad reviews (57%) and they are right on track with my experience. I bought a children's sorting stack toy for $41. When it arrived, it was a cheap, smaller knock-off that was available on Amazon for $9.99 and was nowhere near the size and quality of the pictures on their site. P.S It came in an Amazon package, too. From my experience and what I have read on other reviews, that seems to be their business model: sell you a product for an exorbitant price, then buy a cheaper version from Amazon and have it sent to you!

At first I thought I had found a one stop shopping place for stem related toys. Later I discovered that this is a business that appears to take photos of well-made stem toys and rename them so they cannot be identified as a product available on amazon. After you order and pay on the Smart Kids website, they appear to place an order for the items on amazon and have them shipped to you as a gift (gift receipt is in box). They charge a little more than double the amazon price. When the items have been/or are being delivered by amazon, Smart Kids sends you a text saying, "A driver needs help delivering your Amazon order. Reply STOP to stop receiving texts for Amazon deliveries," followed by the text, "Hi, I'll be arriving with your delivery soon. Please secure pets if you have them and turn on a light if it's dark. Thanks!" When you respond to ask a question, like where was this delivered, you receive this response: "your message was not delivered because the texting session has expired. For help, please contact customer service." This was 1 minute after the text was received. Because 2 boxes were delivered, I received two of these "Amazon" texts. They were clearly not from Amazon. I'm not sure if that is an illegal practice or not. I was so disappointed in this company's ethics. Also, when you are emailing them, the correspondence goes to a shopify.com address which is not the email title that comes in as a contact address from smartkidsplanet.com. Could this mean there is a scam happening? Their website says they are three geeky parents from California who wanted to fill in a gap in smart toys purchasing. To help parents get better quality STEM items, etc. But in reality, they operate as a group disguising the items' real names, and costs, ultimately, so that they can order them for you at more than double the cost, and mail them to you as a "gift". The buyer does not know the real scheme being used and cannot price compare. I was heartbroken to see the type of company this is. I encourage you not to order from them, unless you are okay with paying double plus. I felt so misled by this company (or whoever I was dealing with), that I asked them to refund all of my money.

YES, A SCAM!!!. You buy the product from them at an inflated price, then they send it to you via Amazon with a gift receipt. That is so you don't notice that you paid them much more than they in turn paid Amazon.

Buyer beware!, I bought the Elenco solar bot 14.1 for my grandson’s birthday from this company and it lists for $62.99 without free shipping on the company’s web site. However, the same exact product lists from $24.99 to $39.99 on other sites, some with free shipping. Plus, the email acknowledging that the product has shipped states that it is being shipped by Amazon, which has the same item on sale for $24.99! Why is the price difference twice as much? It appears that the company is charging an inordinate amount to then order the same item from Amazon for half the price! No option to cancel.

I placed the order for a RC Dump Truck with Hauler at Smart Kids Planet web page ($96.99 USD) and checked also if Amazon has the same toy in their inventory. To my surprise yes, they have it (same manufacturer) for the price of $49. After seeing this big discrepancy in price i wrote the e-mail to Smart Kids Planet requesting cancellation of the order. Did not get an answer from them but i got and e-mail today that the shipment of the toy is on the way. Their web page does not provide telephone number where i could call and cancel order.
