After reviewing your account, we see that you signed up through one of our partners, and the communication issue you’re experiencing may be related to your account with them. Please know that SmartCredit does not make any unauthorized withdrawals. All charges are associated with the membership you agreed to at sign-up. Your membership has a monthly fee but started with a 7 day trial for $1.99. Thank you for your feedback. When you signed up, you agreed to a 7-day trial for $1.00, after which the account automatically converts into a paid monthly membership. These details, including the billing terms, were presented clearly during enrollment and included in the confirmation email sent at the start of your trial. Members can cancel their membership online at any time unless the account becomes suspended for lack of payment — which was the situation in this case. Once suspended, cancellation can still be completed through our support team, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. CT. Your account was closed the first time you contacted us on September 3rd. We appreciate the opportunity to clarify how our process works and are glad we were able to resolve this matter promptly.

We reviewed the member’s account and found the account was actively used until it became suspended on July 24, 2025. The member logged in on July 26 and updated the payment method to pay the outstanding balance. No additional charges were made after that date. The member contacted us on July 31, and no other communication was found from the member’s number or account. It also appears the member enrolled through a partner company. It is possible the member communicated with the partner and not SmartCredit. Regarding the ScoreBoost feature, many members experience score improvements when they follow their personalized payment plan. However, results depend on the member’s own actions and on maintaining stability within their credit file — for example, avoiding late payments, increased spending, or new credit applications. SmartCredit.com provides the tools and insights to help, but score increases are not guaranteed. We appreciate the opportunity to clarify these details.
