The hay we ordered has so much dust. Its like the hay was ground up on top of it. The checkout process was annoying too as it kept trying to show you extra "deals" to buy more.

When I received my very first order from them instead of sending the rabbit toys I ordered they sent chicken worms.(??) The box got wet when it was thrown in my yard in the rain by UPS, totally not Pet Selects fault there. But when I opened the box expecting rabbit toys wet chicken worms scattered all over my floor! I immediately contacted Pet Select and let them know that my main reason for ordering was the toys and I still wanted them. Instead of sending them out right away, it was a Friday, they did not address it until the next week. They then contacted me asking for photos of the chicken worms and the boxes. I told them the wet box and worms were long since picked up by the garbage truck and on their way to a landfill. Finally they resent them out via the slowest way possible, USPS and they are still not here, one week after the original order was supposed to be delivered. Not impressed with this company based on this experience.

Last two orders of Timothy hay (4 10 pound boxes) have been of low quality, containing weeds, stemmy, leafless hay material, with a high percentage of brown hay. I left a detailed message 3 days ago and have yet to hear back from customer service.

I have been a customer for over 3 years and have returned time and again to re-purchase the Timothy Hay 2nd Cut. Unfortunately, dating back to September 2025 I have experienced consistency and quality issues with their product. The hay I was received was either all dead stems or grayish colored hay. I had to buy two boxes of hay at a time to insure I received something my guinea pigs would eat. So I am going to look to other vendors because this problem has continued to present and I want more consistency and quality in the Timothy Hay I am buying.

The box was beat up pretty bad when I received it and it was faded all over which made me question how old this box of hay actually is. I ordered your product from another vendor last time and it was in perfect condition. You would think ordering from the supplier directly it would be even better quality. I’m disappointed.

The package went to the main building and not my apartment, like I was told. The usps here is lazy and dumps it all in one spot. The protector cords weren't strong enough to even keep a fork feom going through let alone my puppy's teeth.

I really believe SPS cares about their products and their customers. Over the past year, I’ve been very happy with both product and service. I buy 1st and 2nd cutting hay plus orchard hay, oat hay and the premium ultra soft hay to give my sick Guinea pig a fighting chance. Two past orders have turned up some serious concerns. I ordered 3rd cutting for the first time and it was unusable— highly compressed, moist and smelly. The company has agreed to send me a replacement. The next two boxes I opened— 2nd cutting and orchard hay both have compressed “clumps” in them rather than the fresh, loose hay I’m used to. What I thought was just a “bad box” seems to be pervasive. I’m concerned and saddened by this seeming change in the packing process. Makes their claim of “no industrialized compression” flatly false. I hope this is a blip caused by labor issues rather than a strategic change of direction. Meanwhile, I am sampling other brands.
