I completed purchase transactions today with Colby Love, who made the entire process easy to accomplish. It is one thing to make funeral arrangements for one parent, but having to make them for both parents is devastating. Working with Mr. Love took all the stress out of the process, which is very much appreciated. Caskets were purchased and shipped the same day to the intended destination. However, once my mom's casket arrived, the mortuary team, where the caskets should have been released, the casket was damaged. When I contacted Sky Caskets, the only resolution the representative offered was to put flowers over the damaged area and a $300 discount. Using flowers to cover the area would NOT have worked. What a great disappointment to have to go to another vendor and purchase a 2nd casket for my mom. To date, Sky Caskets is refusing to reimburse me for the entire purchase. This is not how you treat customers, especially ones who purchase two caskets for a double funeral for both parents. Dr. Dee Akram

This company is excellent in the sense that they are an alternative to purchasing your casket at the funeral home. SkyCasket sells caskets of equal quality to one your would buy at the funeral home with a reduced price... sometimes. My sister and my father passed away within 60 days of each other. When I purchased the casket for my sister, the model that I chose through SkyCasket was $1000 less than the same exact product being sold to me at the funeral home. However, when I purchased my father's casket 60 days later, I thought that I was going to purchase a model @ $995 but they turned around at the last minute at charged $1500. When I asked why the $500 hike, I couldn't even understand what they were saying. Sadly, the casket that they sent to the funeral home could NOT be used because it was not a "sealed" casket model, which is legally required if your loved one is being laid to rest inside of a mausoleum. On the day of the wake, I was trying to resolve the problem with SkyCasket. Matt and Colby acted abysmally. Kudos to SkyCasket for giving people an alternative to purchase a casket for a good value... maybe? Shame on SkyCasket for having no customer-service manner in the moment of a problem. Stop calling your clients "Sweetheart," and don't badmouth the people who work at the funeral home, calling them "$h*t heads," and don't hike up prices by hundreds of dollars from what you are listing on your website. If you are a client who plans to purchase from SkyCasket, just be on your guard. Ask the right questions because they won't ask you anything except the address to where the casket needs to be shipped.

Sent wrong casket. This is not something someone needs to deal with in a time of grieving. Called to express concern. Was told manager wld call me back and that never has happened as of yet. Delivery driver drove off before I ever got there. Excepted the sent casket due to a time crunch but still would have preferred the one I originally wanted. I asked specific questions to make sure upon ordering it would be correct. And yet...not so satisfied with your customer service. Renee Gilliland

Settled on a price and shipping. I reconfirmed the price. Then when the online contract agreement came in it was $400 higher. They pulled the "oh, we didn't know we would have additional ground mileage to consider." And yet they said they work with this funeral home all the time. They could have called me and advised before sending the contract and surprising us with this inflated cost.. And if they could estimate shipping with the first quote, work with funeral home, this feels like a bait and switch in our time of despair.

Casket was beautiful but not perfect there was several flaws. The biggest issue was the shipper. Was not delivered on time. Several days late and then shipper would not deliver to my business since I don't have a forklift he delivered it down the street to a paint store and the paint store people brought it to me. Was very disappointed in how this was handled.

I bought a casket online on September 15, 2015. They would always answer within the 2nd ring. After they got the money I would only get the answering machine with messages that they would call back. They never did. Finally after using my phone I called immediately with my friends cell and got an answer within the first ring. I agree that the digs and bangs that were covered with plaster without painting were ok even if they didn't make an attempt because they were part of the discount. The issue was that the top half of the casket lid fell of because it was broken. That's went I figured that's how the dents were made to the lid and not fixed.
