Questionable Sales Approach
I tried Skin Laundry for their introductory $50 facial—honestly, it was fine, but nothing special or worth going out of your way for. What really disappointed me was the lack of transparency around their membership. I was encouraged to sign up for a monthly subscription at a reduced rate, but no one clearly explained that it required a 4-month commitment or that the price would increase after the first month. When I noticed the charge and called to cancel, I was told I couldn’t—which felt incredibly misleading. The staff were pleasant enough, but not knowledgeable. Both front desk employees openly shared that they were brand new and weren’t able to answer basic questions. During checkout, they were distracted—talking to each other and other customers—so there was no real opportunity to get clarity on what I was signing up for. Overall, this felt like subpar service for an average treatment wrapped in a very questionable sales approach. I would strongly recommend reading the fine print and asking very direct questions before agreeing to anything here. Be careful.
