SkinCeutical Product Defect/Customer Service Review
I recently contacted SkinCeuticals for a refund due to a product defect that ruined my LHA serum requiring me to throw it out. The pipette came unglued and got black glue all over the bottle/in the serum. I sent them a picture and asked for my money back and they refused saying I could not meet their return policy with the picture alone. They also refused to post my review of the product that raised this issue for other customers to be aware of. I have seen a lot of people complain about this same defect in their reviews as well as the lack of willingness to return/refund defective products. I provided a list of alternative skincare companies below that I like and that have better options for returns/refunds. I think this is a must when you are spending so much money on your skincare products. 1) Sephora has a really good return policy and carries medical grade skin care products that I have find work well, like: Dermalogica, Biossance, and, Aestera. 2)I also really like Vivier. They have good customer service reviews and allow for returns of opened products within 30 days if you are unsatisfied and defective products within 3-days of receipt. Customers seem happy with the return policy online. 3) A cost-effective option that I love is Reversa, which is available at Shoppers and Amazon. They have alternatives for every SkinCeuticals product I have used. If you buy on their website they also have a 15-day return policy and if you buy from a third-party you can return within their timeline (ex. Amazons is 30 days). Hope this is helpful!
