This is a Expensive turn-key business
This is a turn-key business. Very easy to start and operate. I'm a current reseller and by no means have any background in the digital space, I'm old too. I've had help from 2 different tech guys, Brian & Ryan, both are extremely competent. Brian can have a case of the Mondays sometimes, but who doesn't? The training to get started, it's pretty much idiot-proof, a monkey can make this work. You just have to pick up the phone and dial your a** off. My gripes, sorry Justin This is a very expensive platform. You don't know what you don't know. I recently met a programmer that laughed his a** off when I told him I paid what I did for 100 websites. To pay 500 p/m when you just cross the 20 site threshold and to pay the same at 80 sites, well you decide? Making a lot of money off a 1 guy in my opinion. The billing by stripe which is built into the software, because I already know what Justin's response will be. You don't have to use Stripe. I say, you don't have to double Stripe's percentage. Everything that I run through stripe, is hit with over 5% in a fee. Sell a site for 499, I get 474.26. I just think that the pricing is extreme. Again sorry Justin, just being honest. (Justin=Owner) So for this kind of cost I would expect 24/7 support, premium pricing, premium service. Any file transfers and back-ups, should happen normal times right? midnight to 6, not during business hours. The last thing I will say that isn't good or bad, just an observation, the websites all look the same, they follow the same format. My clients all like their websites, I think? I haven't lost any, so I can recommend Siteswan as long as you don't mind the mark-up. I understand profit, just not so much off 1 person. I look forward to the response, and hope this doesn't affect my future tech support :>)

Thanks for the honest and detailed review, Chuck! Justin here, and we really appreciate the kind words about the platform, the training, and especially Brian and Ryan. And don’t worry—we can handle a little constructive criticism. 😄 I completely understand that price and value are going to be viewed differently by everyone. What matters most to us is that the platform is helping you profitably operate your business, your clients are happy, and you’re getting the support you need along the way. We’ve designed SiteSwan to be much more than just website hosting or a website builder—it’s the tools, training, support, billing, prospecting features, and infrastructure that help you run and grow the business. I do want to clarify one thing about Stripe. Our optional Client Billing feature has a 2% fee in addition to Stripe’s processing fee. Using the example you gave, the combined cost works out to about 4.95% for automated recurring billing that you can manage and monitor directly from your SiteSwan dashboard. You’re also always welcome to bill clients outside of SiteSwan if you prefer (I had to include that :-) As for file transfers and backups, those are scheduled to happen during off-hours, so I’d definitely like to better understand what you experienced there. And finally, I’m glad to hear your clients like their websites—and the fact that you haven’t lost any of them is certainly a good sign! Thanks again for being candid, Chuck. Constructive feedback is always welcome, and I promise it won’t affect your future tech support. 😉
