HI - I participated in the marketing review and thinking the SAS training would be as methodical at the review, was very disappointed - the training was a simple extension of the marketing review. It was not well paced and difficult to follow. I talked with customer service about a refund and was just offered a course upgrade. I chose not to invest any more time in poorly constructed course ware. It was explained by 'CS' that the purchase window showed no refunds...... apparently customer satisfaction was not part of the criteria

Thank you for your feedback, Greg! We're sorry that you didn't get more value from our SAS training course. Unfortunately, we can't offer refunds on our digital assets as stated in our terms & conditions. We're still happy to give you credit to our store or to upgrade you to the next level of the class for no additional charge. If you're interested, please let us know at your earliest convenience.
Sincerely,
The Simpler Trading Team

Simpler Trading is a great sales/marketing racket, not a great service
I just finished the 3 month Small Account Mastery service. I paid $597 for the service and funded a $5K account on TD Ameritrade's Think or Swim platform (which I like very much). I just left the service and asked to be refunded the auto-billed following 3 months because at the end of the first term, my $5K account had less than $1K left in it. It's as though I paid John Carter $600 to teach me how to lose $4K, which I could easily have done on my own. I found logging into and staying logged into the trading room glitchy (often the chat/sound/trade alerts would not work [on either Firefox or Chrome] and you'd have to reload the entire room numerous times throughout the trading day. I ended up having to constantly check the Simpler Trading phone app just to see if an alert came out.), the support staff somewhat unresponsive (especially as it related to time-sensitive trades, and even more so with emails), and then John Carter's trades (the most important part) were fairly hit or miss. He wasn't teaching a system so much as he was just trading himself while you followed along as he gave some folksy explanations of why he's entering this trade, or exiting that one. In the meantime, you have to pay more (much more) for the special indicators that he uses to help him identify setups. By example of my poor experience, I missed an exit on a Roku setup because I couldn't get a response from them on a question I asked about specific action to be taken on the trade. So that cost me about $1K in the first month, then several other Tesla setups went bad, and that trimmed another grand off the account, then because most of the rest of the account was already leveraged at that point, I couldn't participate in some of the newer trade setups, which means I had to guess which ones participate and, of course, the ones I didn't participate in ended up being profitable. 90 days later, I had to bail on the service just to salvage the $1K I had left. I've previously had 3 years of longer style options trading experience, so I understood the concepts and wanted to try something new with this service on John Carter's pitch that "I aim to make 2% per week on my account, so that I can wire out 1.5% for income". And finally outside of losing $4K on John Carter's Small Account Mastery service, the most maddening and disgusting part was receiving well over 150 marketing/sales emails in 90 days for other Simpler Trading. They just keep coming non-stop, and they're all tied to other webinars that are tied to selling more services that are tied to selling more indicators that are tied to selling more mentors... I've never been so over-marketed to by a company I already gave my money to.
The only fair concession I'll give John Carter is that he is clearly deeply experienced and aggressive and his trades/setups move quickly and you have to be ready to move with him or your toast.
Wish I would've just kept my money in my long investments.

Hi Matt,
Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that you didn’t find success with our Small Account Mastery program. John’s trading style is great for aggressive account growth, but he does have a high tolerance for risk. With this service, John adjusts his strategy to fit a more conservative approach for smaller accounts. However, we still encourage you to set your own risk parameters based on your tolerance and account size.
As for the marketing emails, we’re not sure why you received so many, but our team is looking into it. We also notified our tech team to look into why there may have been issues accessing the trading room and getting trade alerts.
I’ve sent you a follow-up note. I’d love to discuss some potential solutions to help you find your trading success.
Sincerely,
The Simpler Trading Team

Lost 35% of my capital and was out $700 dollars.
I joined Simpler trading for the minimum 3-month membership. Three months later I lost 35% of my account and I was out $700 for the membership. I mainly followed John Carter the founder of the site. First, you get the sense that he is not interested in teaching, he is interested in making money through teaching. For example, if you ask him in our chat room what MA are you using on a certain chart he will not answer. He would have to be asked by many to answer. Another thing is he rarely replies and if he does, he replies to inconsequential comments. Like if someone is joking about an earnings report or their weekend, he would chime in. But if the question is informational like what R:R do you target? or where should our stop be for this trade? then he will not answer. He will sell you a course separately on how to trade but this $700 is just him telling you what trades he is making. Secondly, he rarely trades maybe two trades a week tops. Thirdly, he would have no trades in the chat room but then post a video on YouTube about a trade that he placed or already nailed! except, we in the paid session have never heard of it! He also wasted our time with various webinars that pose as educational. "How I made a million dollars..." and so on, but an hour into them you realize that he is just telling you how he follows his proprietary indicator and then on the last slide hits you with the price plan. That's when you realize: you've been watching a sales presentation. If you don't believe me, watch a random YouTube video that he posted. Finally, I would say that while John does share anecdotal stories and some videos on his monetary successes, for the rest of his team there is no validation that they are successful. There is no trading log or P&L statements or a third-party record or anything. How do I know the guy teaching me is better than me and isn't just an employee of an educational firm?, an everyday analyst but a trading hobbyist. If you want to teach, you owe people this information. Like the college professor's degrees behind his desk. Finally, there is no sense of comradery that develops like other trading chat rooms because they keep all chats private except what their employees share. So you don't get the team competitiveness and herd learning which happens in other chat rooms. You just can't help but notice a common thread of greed and for-profit objectives that drive John. I think John Carter is a successful trader and a nice guy, I just don't think he wants to teach. I think he wants the business of teaching and it shows. Don't waste your money on this. Don't pay $700 to be ignored and upsold. Find another service.

Hi R.J.
Thank you for your honest feedback, R.J.! We care deeply about the success of our members, and we’re sorry to hear that you didn’t find success with one of our memberships. I’m not sure which membership you had because I couldn’t find you in our database, but I’d like to address each of your concerns to the best of my ability.
I can assure you that John Carter cares very much about helping aspiring traders find their success. He founded Simpler Trading because he wanted to create a community of traders who wanted to help each other out and genuinely cared about others’ success. Our philosophy is to teach our members which strategies will work best for them so that they can be successful in trading on their own. It's sort of like teaching someone to fish so they can feed themselves for life.
There are a lot of people asking questions in our memberships and John isn’t always able to address each individual question while in the trading room. If your question isn’t answered, we encourage you to reach out to support and we’ll do our best to help you. Every trading session is also recorded so anyone can go back and reference it. There’s also a trading log available in our trade alert services that should help clarify questions around trades.
John’s number of trades vary from week to week. He is focused on the quality of trades rather than the number of trades. In his Small Account Mastery trade alert service, he is looking for trades specific to his strategy for growing a small account. However, that’s not the only strategy John uses so there may occasionally be a trade he takes in another membership or service that doesn’t fit for the criteria for his Small Account Mastery.
You’re right that we don't publish our P&L, but that’s because we're not an advisory service and past performance isn’t indicative of future results. That can actually be misleading. Risk and time commitment vary from person to person, so we're unable to state specifically how each trader’s experience will go, but instead, we're here for support and guidance throughout the process.
Lastly, our membership chat room isn’t private so our members are able to get to know one another -- it’s a big part of our community. We do keep chat disabled on our free webinars because attendance is always pretty high and it’s distracting when you have hundreds to thousands of people competing for attention.
As I mentioned, I couldn’t find you in our database, so if you can contact us at [email protected] or call us at 512-266-8659, we’d be happy to help find a solution that works best for you.
Sincerely,
The Simpler Trading Team

Not comfortable even signing up with the lack of Customer service. Forget it.! They don't care about us
I'm considering signing up for their 7-day trial and I want to make sure it's legit and that I can find a way to cancel after the 7 days. I'm reading through the terms and conditions and it says I must email or call and get an email from them before i am cancelled. I've called the number twice and there's an answering machine? who uses that anymore? and the online chat is useless.. I've been waiting for about 20 mins with no answer.. pretty bad start here! No thanks

Upseller of a service and that is all
Upseller of a service and that is all. Was joined to them for a month and just like everyone says they start to upsell you on everything. You want to get the basics of john f carters knowledge just read his book...100 million times more value than anything on that website. If you want to really learn how to trade properly and you need guidance, look to chris brecher's service who was a partner with john but i believe he left because of john's antics (look him up on google to find him. He has a huge amount of knowledge and knows how to analyse price action very well. No one can be 100% right all the time but he's had years of experience and it shows.

Thank you for your feedback, James! We’re sorry to hear that you didn’t get more out of Simpler Trading’s services, but we’re glad to hear that you enjoyed John’s book. We love it too! I tried looking you up in our database, but I couldn’t find you. If you please send us an email at [email protected] or call us at 512-266-8659, we’d love to discuss this further.

Look somewhere else for trading help
Pretty disappointed after two years of on and off subscriptions endless marketing of buying this indicator or that service. Started with small account lost money on pretty much all his trade alerts, he is way too aggressive to think he can help newbies, he thinks nothing of posting a trade and have it lose 500 and cuts bait. If your new trade in a paper account. can't emphasize enough, Also They sell you a class or and indicator and after that, poor instruction on how to use them and you're pretty much on your own, customer service sucks you'll never get a refund, Now if you a pro maybe it has some value But for the most part, Marketing Marketing Marketing

Hi Andrew,
Thank you for leaving feedback, Andrew! We’re sorry to hear that you haven’t found success with us yet. I see you first joined us last year with our Small Account Mastery and Options Gold membership. If you’re very new to trading, we would actually recommend starting with our Simpler Foundation membership.
We work hard to provide as much support as we can for all of our products and services. If you had trouble with our customer service, please understand that we are doing our absolute best to help all of our customers as we all transition to a new normal with coronavirus.
I sent you an email earlier today for us to talk about what options might work best for you and your trading style. Looking forward to hearing back from you!
Sincerely,
The Simpler Trading Team

Simpler Trading is successful because of subscribers. That is all.
After 3 years of being an unprofitable member and seeing a lot of blind sheep in the forums (or probably seeded with their own marketing staffs) I gave up.
I got tired of JC's marketing his technical indicators which he always mentions that it has made him his million $ trade with Tesla. And since I'm on Tastyworks I bought to some of his indicators in which he promised that Tastyworks will support them as well. Fast forward 2 years - those indicators are still just for TOS and TS. Two years of unable to use the indicators I demanded my money back but they said they can't anymore as it was way past the money-back guarantee date.
Anyway - since I subscribed to their Trade Alerts which uses their in-house developed indicators - I basically don't need it and just follow their trade alerts right? And it will rake me in money, right?
WRONG.
I lost a lot in his trade alerts. They were more wrong than right. I recorded a lot of their sessions in my PC and would be giving them to investigator youtubers to expose their crap.
Also, if you look for reviews of their other traders like Raghee - you will find quite a bit of colorful nasty bits around.
I am now with another service and so glad I switched as I am now profitable. It will take a long time before I can get back what I lost from Simpler Trading and their expensive subscription fees. Shame on me for staying that long.
Just don't do this stupid thing I did and lost a lot of my savings trusting smooth talkers like John and Raghee.
