Terrible deceiving experience
Be sure to read and understand the full details of how this gift registry website really works. If not you may end up with 0 gifts, and a check worth less than your gifts are worth at the end of it all. I would NOT recommend this website.

Hi Rebecca, I am sorry you did not have a great experience with SimpleRegistry. We are definitely not a traditional registry and do our best to describe our company as a flexible, cash registry throughout SimpleRegistry.com. All of our couples receive their wedding gifts in the form of cash gifts towards registered items and experiences and then purchase those items or experiences when they are ready. I shared your review with everyone in our company to determine if there is a better way to share this information with prospective customers in addition to the language on our homepage, common questions, video tutorial, and terms of use. We do have a service fee to help pay the credit card companies when a gift is given (up to 3%), to pay our customer service team, and keep the lights on! If we did not have a service fee, this company would not exist. I'm so sorry you had this experience and did not know SimpleRegistry was a cash registry. unnecessary
We started our registry with this site and found out it was not helpful in the slightest. If someone wanted to purchase a gift for us off of the registry, we would only get the cash for that item and we would have to go buy the gift. Any gift of money given to use, the website gets a cut. Doesn't make sense to have a middle man for no reason. Also, we had a guest sign up for a cash gift, but someone got confused that they had to actually personally give us the case....just a confusing process all around. Do not recommend.
