SimpleRegistry gives you all the facts straight up...except a few really important ones: 1. Probably sign up with the same email address as your PayPal account 2. Everything works in US$. If you are in the rest of the non-US$ using world (the other 96.6% of the world), you'll be wasting some money on the exchange rate. Overall, however, positive experience and made it easy for some of our overseas guests and those who couldn't make the wedding to give us a gift. I wouldn't be using it again, unfortunately. Will try to find an Australian or more flexible platform.

Simple Registry was an easy way for us to avoid getting a ton of gifts we don't need (although we still got a few) and helping us pay for our honeymoon. All of our younger guests and people who regularly use technology had no problem with it, but older folks who don't have much experience in technology were just really baffled by the idea and had trouble using the site. I don't doubt this has more to do with their skills than the site, but does maybe show that not everyone is quite ready to go online with wedding registries. I'd recommend this to a friend without a doubt, but with the caveat that they'll need to walk older/non technically skilled people though it step by step.

I love the convenience and ease of use. What got me worried was the fee that people have to pay. Thought that might turn people away from using this registry.

Fairly simple to use and convenient. No problems redeeming the gifts.
