I signed up for free seven day trial. I emailed them on the 7th day to cancel and was told I needed to do it online. When I tried to do it online it showed there was no membership to cancel. I was billed $79.20. I’ve requested a refund but haven’t received one and don’t expect to.

Update: PayPal came through! After weeks of my trying to play nice with Simple, when I finally reported the transaction and the company as fraudulent, PayPal directed that Simple refund the 3 month membership of $59.40. And the shysters paid up. DON'T FALL THROUGH THE CRACKS! IF YOU WERE FRAUDULENTLY SIGNED UP FOR AND CHARGED FOR SOMETHING YOU HAD NOT INTENDED, IMMEDIATELY REPORT IT TO PAYPAL, YOUR BANK, YOUR CREDIT CARD COMPANY, ETC. AS A FRAUD. AND DON'T ACCEPT ANYTHING LESS THAN A FULL REFUND. DON'T BACK DOWN OUT OF FRUSTRATION. BE PERSISTENT. BROADCAST WHAT HAPPENED TO YOU. WHATEVER IT TAKES! Original Post - I signed up for $1 7-day trial (weight-loss plan). Now they had my PayPal info. Website continuously sent pop-ups to try to get me to then sign up for non-trial membership, which I kept declining. Next thing I know, I was enrolled for 3 months at a cost of $59.40. (They also processed a separate payment of $1 for the trial.) I promptly sent an email about the mistake and asked for a refund. Additionally, I canceled the tricked into "contract" on the website to ensure there would be no further charges. I do not believe my emails are even read or responded to by a real person. Responses are all canned and impersonal paragraphs. There is so much about this issue that has occurred, and I'll not try to include everything here. Suffice it to say that this company has written policies about cancelations and will not budge. There is apparently no consideration given to people who mistakenly end up with an order they did not intend to make! This is how they get past PayPal's protection process, if you claim you want to cancel and receive a refund. I will now have to process a claim that I was a victim of fraud and hope PayPal will see this company for the scammers they are. Wish me luck and thanks for reading.

SCAM ALERT! I tried their introductory offer, I unsubscribed three times. They then billed me for $79.20 for a membership. I did not authorize the charge. Now I have to go through days.of nonsense to block the charge. What a pain! Very unethical!

I would give this company a zero if I could, I have been charged for a membership I did not sign up for. They even replied in such a non-customer-focused manner that made me realize this company is not what they say they are. It is such a shame to be scammed in such a way. Truly heart breaking that we have come to live in a world where even looking up a company app means you will be charged. After being charged in this way I looked up the company and it seems they have done this to a lot of people... DO NOT EVEN SIGN UP for the free trial period. Nontrustworthy company - Nothing Simple about Simple.

I would give them zero if that were possible. I have been requesting a refund for several weeks. As is the day I accidentally clicked the membership sign up. They are refusing to refund me note saying it has been longer than 30 days. When I sent the requesting reversal times. Their method does not work for me

Stay away from these guys. Terrible customer service.so many of these companies make it difficult to cancel auto-renew that it should be illegal without prior confirmation with customer. Yes, I did sign up originally, but I never realized it was on auto renew until a $ 29.00 charge showed up through PayPal. I contacted them immediately, explained I wasn’t using this app and could they cancel it and refund the amount that just went through. They were completely intractable, which indicates terrible concern for customer satisfaction!!!

For over a month I have been attempting to transfer my balance out of Simple to close my account. However, the transfer functionality on both their website and app are broken, so transfers aren't possible. In addition, they now claim my non-expired debit card is "retired" so I cannot use my debit card to remove funds from an ATM. I have sent 5 support messages with zero responses. Today I called customer service, and they suggested I use cash app (which requires a functioning debit card), venmo, or paypal to transfer funds because of a "bug" in their system. This isn't a bug, it's a catastrophic failure of a banking institution in allowing customers to access their funds. I've filed a complaint with the FDIC. They're closing and transferring accounts to BBVA, but this is wholly unacceptable and I can't imagine how many people are being impacted by this right now. Unconscionable.
