Epic Failures
For a small startup business that only has one shot (no pun intended) to make a good impression in this very competitive environment, they are missing the mark by a mile. And, it sounds like the owner doesn't value customer service or doing any improvements that provide customers a better experience. If you are trying to build a business and client base, you need to get it right and set yourself apart from others. Examples of issues include: - Customer service doesn't answer phone calls. I called 18 times about order issues (based on email they sent me) over the course of a few days and times to account for lines being busy and only got them to answer once. - They fail to respond to emails sent via their contact link. I emailed about their system not taking coupon codes that they provided me in promo emails and never received a response. I attempted to use the fourthofjuly promo code they sent to me in an email over a couple different days within the given time frame and the system wouldn't take the promo code. The promo code was supposed to provide 15% off an order of $150 or more. The screen would blink showing the application of the code and then flash again and return the value to the pre-promo coupon price despite stating it applied the coupon. This seems like a big scam, hoping that people would just press on with the purchase despite not receiving the discount. Huge fail. - When ordering products, there are NO indications on the website to identify an item is out of stock or is something they have to order from the vendor once you place an order. You do not even get any messages at checkout about shipping delays, stock issues or anything. The only thing you get is an email a day or two later stating the item is out of stock and will take weeks before you receive your order. There are no hard time frames provided, just a vague few weeks. This vendor is only worried about scamming people and not providing clear communication to their customers. Clear communication and information delivery that puts the decision in the buyers hand is what helps build a customer base. Underhanded and shady practices that don't provide information tell you everything you need to know. This was an issue I had previously brought up on a different order and assumed it would be taken care of. What a SCAM, especially since emails are not responded to and phones are not answered. This company, mostly based on the owner from what it sounds like, is not worth the time or energy given the amount of competitors out there. With all that said, when I finally reached a customer service representative (only two work there), she was pretty helpful. However, the customer should never have to work this hard. The business should work hard to gain customers.
