While our photographer was great, the customer experience with Shoott was poor. They sent me a discount code via email that wasn’t in my account as a returning client. The in-app experience cited a certain price that I moved forward with but realized immediately after purchase that I would’ve saved $66 with the discount code. Customer service refused to honor the code after purchase or even provide a credit in that amount for a future purchase. Really disappointed about the expense and if $66 is worth losing a repeat client who spends hundreds per year, I guess that’s your call. I’ll be going with a local photographer in the future.

$50 additional charge
I wanted to address the $50 charge because I don’t feel it was fair or clearly communicated.
We were only 15 minutes late, and the session time was not extended or accommodated for, so we simply used the remaining time we had and were still able to complete the photos. We didn’t hold anyone up or waste additional time. In fact, had we arrived on time and ultimately only selected two photos from the session, the photographer would have had the opportunity to potentially earn more from the session and additional photos.
Instead, the $50 charge feels like a penalty for being 15 minutes late, even though we still received only the time that remained and did not create an additional inconvenience for anyone. If this was a specific late-arrival fee, I believe that should have been clearly stated upfront rather than being presented as a charge based on a service received.
Unfortunately, because of this, you’ve not only lost the opportunity for the photographer to potentially gain a returning client, but you’ve also lost me as a customer. I would have been happy to use your service again, but being charged an additional $50 for something that wasn’t clearly disclosed beforehand has left a very negative impression.

Hi Lauren,
Thank you so much for taking the time to share your feedback and tell us about your experience. We’re genuinely sorry for the frustration this situation caused and understand why you were disappointed.
The fee you encountered is part of our lateness and cancellation policy. We have these guidelines in place because our photographers reserve dedicated time for each session, often turning down other work or making personal arrangements around a booking. When a client is late, it can also significantly reduce the time available for their session and, in turn, the number (and sometimes quality) of photos a photographer is able to deliver.
We know that fees like this are never what anyone wants to encounter, which is why we try to make our policy clear before every session. The policy is available on our website and is also included in the confirmation and preparation emails we send before your shoot. We also encourage clients to arrive early, as we know things like traffic, parking, or getting turned around can unexpectedly cause delays.
We truly value your feedback, and if there’s somewhere you feel we could have communicated the policy more clearly or prominently, we’d genuinely love to hear from you❤️
Warm wishes,
Your friendly Shoott team

Do not buy Shutterfly package with Shoot!
I purchased the photoshoot on Shoott.com photos company site in combination with the Shutterfly postcards package. I then realized that the promo code from 510 families of 10% did not apply as it should have. The cost of the photoshoot full package was supported to be $216. But I decided to add the Shutterfly package which seemed like a great deal and paid $256. And it is not. I overpaid $50 for a code that I need to use on Shutterfly which is super confusing. I don't see how 50 cards for $50 is a great deal. I wrote to Shoot to apply the 10% code on their photos and refund me the difference or cancel my Shutterfly package. They refused to do so. I find it hard to believe that Shutterfly cannot deactivate the code... Not buying anything from Shoott.com or Shutterfly ever again!
