Still waiting for my refund. The product sent was defective. Had to recharge every few days. I sent the product back and they promised a refund in two weeks. It's been two months and no refund. The customer service is a joke. They use to answer their phones now it's come down to contacting the shipping department. If you are not buying then you can't get through. This is a scam. They keep sending out defective products and will not refund you the money if you return it. Stay away!

How long should I wait?
I cannot tell you the Shine Bathroom is no good because...I ordered it 14 months ago and what I have received is 14 months of excuses and no device. Meanwhile, Chris and company have continued sales presumably not telling the buyers they are in line behind a guy who place his order in November of 2020.

So I finally got help from Shine and…
So I finally got help from Shine and turns out one unit was completely defective and the other just won't work. I was promised a replacement unit. Didn't get it. This was months ago. They refunded my units but not the unlimited. I was kicked off the Facebook page for daring to criticize. I should have realized that they were scammers when they started advertising immediate shipping for new customers while I was still more than a year in waiting... This isn't just a company going out of business, it is one trying to get as much money as possible first. Notice everyone waiting for a refund. Great idea, never got to see it it is capable of working, lame quality, lame customer service. SCAMERS! This just looks like a low volume Ponzi scheme.

Just Don't Do It
If I could give them negative amount of stars I would. I was one of the lucky ones that got my refund check before they started ignoring customer, not filling pod orders, and turned off chat on the app. My guess is that they are going to file bankruptcy so as not to have to pay all the orders back. This is going to result in a lawsuit by the end of it all. As I said I was refunded for my units but now I have pods that won't electrolyze water due the app being all messed up. Batteries don't hold charge, app does all crazy things with all different phones. If your unit still even cleans then you are one of the lucky ones. They should have sold it to an AWS company and got out long before now. This is a great concept with a below subpar company behind it.

I was going to prepare a full review covering; the performance of product, the quality of/problems with the product and especially the company's customer service. But it will be long and i need time to write it all down.
HOWEVER, what is important to know RIGHT NOW for anyone that is still considering to buy:
It seems the company is going down.
they no longer reply to any emails . some keys people who worked there are now apparently gone (as per info on linkedin)
Their CEO (Chris Herbert) seems to be hiding as well and will block anyone that tries to contact him on FB, linkedin etc)
Same goes for the official FB pages of Shine. Say something "critical" and you are gone ...
Right now the only place where you can talk "freely" is on a FB page called "" Shine bathroom Fan Community (non official) ""
I will try to update later with all the details on both the product and customers service, but for now: please stay away!

SCAM Ghosting customers
Company has stopped responding to any messages or attempts to contact. Support has been ceased, and all communications are dead. This product is a scam, and the company should be prosecuted for not shutting down immediately.

Don't do it
Don't do it. After a month trying to get the system setup, Shine customer service finally helped me. The system is connected to my phone but after some time using it (months), I've concluded that it doesn't work. I'm using three pods, the maximum amount recommended and there's mold growing in the two toilets that I've installed the devices. I'm going to have to return to cleaning it the old f way. Save your money.

It is a scam and doesn’t work
It is a scam and doesn’t work. I had to contest the charges on my credit card - I sent the devices back within the return period window and they have ghosted me for two months. You can’t call and no one responds to emails. It’s fraud, don’t buy.
