The device itself actually works quite well. However, the support is abysmal. Even with a subscription you can no longer order pods, or anything else for that matter. Once I run out of pods this device will become a useless doorstop. I don’t know how long this lapse in support is going to last but at this point if you are considering a Shine. Don’t.

Ordered multiple units. One unit only worked the first 30 days. Signed up for annual cleaning solution - ordered twice, now can’t find a way to order any more

Shipping of new pods is super slow. Machines themselves do not spray a full 360 so there is a spot that doesn't get any solution and the sticker to hold the sprayer let go early on. The product has decreased the amount of cleaning I have to do in the bowl but has not eliminated it.

For the most part the system is working as advertised (after a few returns and reboots). However, I believe the spray bar needs some work. After about a month you notice considerable build up in certain locations in the bowl. In my case around the 11 o'clock position and the 5 o'clock position. I have played with time length and it does not seem to effect the outcome. My only conclusion is that the spray bar is not getting certain parts of the bowl. I would be glad to discuss this via email or telecom.

I think the shine helps keep the toilet clean, but not as much as I expected.

Ordered one Shine bathroom cleaner on January 19, 2021. I'm not the most patient person and after reading the delivery dates were several months into the future, I decided to request a refund in March. I figured once they were through the pandemic period and the demand, I would try to order again. I did receive my money back within a month. So relieved I dodged this bullet!! I gave three stars since I did receive a refund with no hassle at all. Sorry to hear it's not working out for them. It was an interesting concept.

The star rating if solely for the product & not the company or service. I also waited over a year for the device & got in touch late last year. After a few emails, they said they would prioritise the order. I was legitimately surprised when I received the postal order tracker. The device arrived & I was jazzed. Another chore handed off to automation. Sadly the dream of not having to do the work myself would not come to fruition. Communications up till this point had been great, then replies pretty much stopped. I wondered… is shine literally going down the toilet? It’s pretty awful that you can still order online. I would say AVOID. To the people that didn’t get the device & have to fight to get their money back. I feel for you & it sucks that you didn’t get the order. I wish you the best of luck. To the people that DID receive their device. If you are worried about refills I discovered something interesting. The pods only contained salt, vinegar & water. Home recipe 1 litre tepid water 2 grams of rock salt/kosher salt 1 teaspoon of white distilled vinegar Still until dissolved. Pour into the shine device. Start cleaning cycle from app 👍 In summary DO NOT BUY GOOD GADGET BAD SUPPORT COMPANY IS BANKRUPT

Their bathroom assistant product work exceptionally well! It is a great product. However, their customer service is very unresponsive and slow to act. They need to improve that end. I have an email from over a week ago that has not been responded to yet!
