What a nightmare!!! I threatened to sue them after 11 days of waiting for my paperwork, it was magically completed while on hold for a supervisor. I would not let this company handle my patients paperwork!!! And they charge $30 for 2 minutes of their time? Absolute useless company. Doctors beware!!!! Don’t bring down your practice by using this “service”!

If I could give zero stars, I would! I have been requesting a disc of a MRI for over a month now! I was referred to a neurologist by the ER, and I have been trying to get a copy of this disc ever since! I can hardly understand the people on the phone. I was promised they would expedite the process and have the disc there within 2-3 days. It’s now been 6 days and no disc . They have sent the written report 4 times!!!! Horrible company! Not to mention, I’ve been on hold 25 minutes !

Our experience with Sharecare has been extremely frustrating and disappointing. My brother and I have been trying to obtain our mother’s medical records since May 2026, and we have repeatedly been given the runaround. After numerous attempts and delays, we were unexpectedly told that we would have to pay a fee to receive the records. We paid the fee, only to have the records never arrive. When we followed up to find out why, we were then told that another verification from our mother by phone was required. The lack of clear communication, repeated delays, unexpected fees, and constantly changing requirements have made what should be a straightforward process incredibly difficult and stressful for our family. We have spent months trying to get records that we have a legitimate need to obtain. Overall, this has been a horrible experience. Sharecare needs to do a much better job of communicating requirements upfront, following through on requests, and treating families with the urgency and consideration they deserve when dealing with medical records.

I have had the worst experience with their service. I requested for releasing my medical records on an emergency basis (rush request) to release them in 24 hours for an upcoming surgery that needs to happen asap. When I called the customer service explaining the urgency, they wouldn't listen to anything unless you submit a request online, which is understood. The drama began after submitting the request. It has been more than 10 days and the records are still in process - I called everyday in the last 10 days and each time I hear the same message that we are trying our best to release them asap. I asked for a supervisor a few times, and after keeping me on hold for almost 30 minutes, they came back saying that no supervisor is available to talk and a supervisor would call me back asap. I doubt if they have any supervisor because I haven't received any call back from the supervisors. I think their license should be revoked because they cannot mock around with people's lives. Response to the note from Customer Service: The phone number you provided is the same number I called more than 10 times without any results. I called this number again regarding my request (49122421) and the same drama continued such as we are escalating again which was previously escalated 4-5 times in the last 1 week.

This company needs to stop partnering with major hospitals. I will be filing a complaint with my hospital urging them to discontinue using this vendor. I called today for an update on my medical records and was told the turnaround time has been delayed. Despite signing up for text message notifications, I never received any notice of the delay. To make matters worse, the representative informed me that I would have to pay to receive my records but could not tell me how much the fee would be. I was then told to call back next week for another update because they couldn’t provide one themselves. Customers should not have to repeatedly chase down a company just to obtain their own medical records. This has been an incredibly frustrating and unprofessional experience. Poor communication, lack of transparency, and an inability to provide basic information are unacceptable, especially for a company handling sensitive healthcare records.

Absolute nightmare, shut this company down. Miss management of paperwork. At least 5 calls and counting and still can not get my paperwork correct. They sent paperwork to my insurance company that was not legible and missed deadline. I gave 1 star because I couldn't go any lower.

Medical requests should not take 2 weeks. After 2 weeks, I still get that they are working on it. You cannot create an account on their web page. Phone support is non-english speaker that is almost impossible to understand. I need MRI records for an upcoming appointment. Beyond frustrated. I got a response from Sharecare. They sent me a link that I can't use because, as I said, I can't make an account. They also sent me a phone number that gets you the same non-English-speaking, unresponsive people. Sharcare, YOU SUCK SO BAD. So I might have to have the MRI redone because you SUCK! Update: I drove to the doctor's office to get the records in person. They are preparing them, and I have them tomorrow.

Because of these delays, my job has been placed in jeopardy, and I have been unable to receive my short-term disability benefits. These are not minor inconveniences—they directly affect a person’s livelihood. The most frustrating part is the lack of meaningful communication. Instead of receiving specific updates or realistic timelines, I have repeatedly received generic responses stating that my request is “being processed.” That does nothing to explain why the delays continue or when my paperwork will actually be completed. The situation has become so frustrating that even my doctor’s office has been contacting Sharecare to determine what the hold-up is and to try to expedite my paperwork. When the medical provider itself has to follow up on a patient’s behalf, it raises serious concerns about the efficiency of the process. Medical records, FMLA paperwork, and short-term disability forms are time-sensitive. Delays like this can jeopardize a person’s employment and delay the benefits they rely on while recovering from an injury or illness. Companies handling these requests should understand the real-world impact their turnaround times have on patients. Based on my experience, if I learn that a future healthcare provider uses Sharecare to process medical records or disability paperwork, I will strongly consider choosing a different provider if I have that option. I simply do not want to go through this experience again. One final observation: after reading many of the reviews here, I noticed that the responses often appear to follow the same generic template acknowledging concerns without addressing the specific issues people raise. I sincerely hope my experience receives more than a standard response and that someone actually investigates why my paperwork has been delayed for so long. At this point, I don’t need another apology—I need my paperwork completed.
