Shalom Israel ToursReviews of shalomisraeltours.com

Upon the recommendation by very good friends we contacted and chose Shalom Israel Tours to plan a private tour with guide for our first trip to Israel. We were two couples with some ideas of where we would like to visit and what we would like to experience . It was a pleasure to work with Shalom Stark. He was easy to communicate with and offered many suggestions and it all came together perfectly. Our guide , Yehuda was excellent; a Sabra with the most unbelievable knowledge of 4,000 years of history, and many stories to tell. Our trip was planned for June, 2014 and our itinerary covered Jerusalem, the Golan Heights, and Tel Aviv with many stops along the way. After spending this time together we miss Yehuda ! We would not hesitate to recommend Shalom Israel Tours. We had a wonderful experience !

Shalom himself was waiting for us at our hotel when we arrived! He introduced us to our simply amazing, warm, funny and brilliant guide Mortechai, and off we went on our adventure of a lifetime. Israel is more than I could have imagined. It touches your soul. Masada, Jerusalem, Jaffa, the beauty of the north - so special. We even stopped at some unscheduled sites like this really amazing monastery built into the side of a cliff, a beautiful light show projected over The Sea of Galilee, and this amazing little Ethiopian restaurant in Safed that was featured on the Travel Channel. Shalom came to Tel Aviv to say goodbye, and brought a box of pastries that we had raved about for us to take back home! Truly the trip of a lifetime!

Working with Shalom Stark and Shalom Israel Tours was a dream. They arranged everything in a professional and courteous manner, and got us great pricing on our trip. I have sent numerous people in large and small groups to Shalom over the last few years, and they've always raved about the experience. I would never plan a group trip to Israel without them.

Shalom Stark of Shalom Israel Tours created the trip of a lifetime for us. My husband and I had never been to Israel and chose to do a private tour. Shalom created the perfect itinerary, making suggestions of things to see we had not included on our original list. His suggestions were excellent and offered us a more complete experience. The hotels Shalom suggested were attractive, clean and convenient. Our tour guide, Mordechai Weiss was excellent; he was personable, warm, and highly knowledgeable. Shalom arranged for transportation from the moment we came off the runway at Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv, taking us through customs, picking up our luggage, and transporting us to our first hotel in Tel Aviv (The David Intercontinental). At the end of our trip we were picked up in Jerusalem (at the Inbal Hotel) and transported back to Ben Gurion. Our tour guide, Mordechai, drove us in a large, air-conditioned van from place to place. We have already recommended Shalom Israel Tours to friends who hope to make this trip in the future!

We did a private tour with bar mitzvah. Shalom tours was truly amazing. Immediate response to any questions, both before we left and during trip. The entire trip was beyond our expectations. Everything was amazing. We were given a quote- we said it was too high and shalom worked with us to accommodate everyone's needs and desires. So patient and knowledgable and dependable. We were a group of 12 and our guide, Meni will always be a part of our family. The passion and knowledge of Israel, its history and current status that he imparted to all of us, but especially our four teenage boys was priceless. None of us, but especially the boys will ever be the same after this trip and the credit goes to Shalom and Meni. I cannot begin to tell you how highly I recommend this tour group. Our visit was in July 2014 and we were there for the beginning of the conflict and our safety was always considered first. We felt very safe and continuously updated with the current situation. Highly, highly recommend them!

We have been on two trips with Shalom Israel tours. The 1st was a medium sized group tour in October 2013. The 2nd was a private family tour in Feb 2014. Many companies know the sights to see. What makes or breaks a trip for me are the accommodations & the guides. I've been to Israel 9 times, and wished I'd found Shalom Israel Tours sooner. Shalom Israel Tours was quick in responding to all details in the planning of my trips. They are informed & knowledgeable about the best hotels and restaurants. The guides are excellent, and very good at managing the needs of the travelers, as well as, teaching the history of Israel. I will continue to use Shalom Israel Tours in the future & will recommend this company to all my friends!

I can't say enough about Shalom Stark and Shalom Israel Tours! We planned our trip about 5 months prior. We were able to customize our trip completely so that our 2 teenagers would enjoy the trip as much as we did. Shalom had terrific suggestions and told us what would work and what would not. Also, our guide Shimon was first rate! He made our trip a trip of a lifetime. His knowledge of the history of Israel and every historical site was unsurpassed. I can't believe how much we learned while in Shimon's company! The trip was smooth from the minute we arrived! I would highly recommend the VIP welcome. It was completely worth it. Our guide, Shimon, checked in with us on our first day and made plans to meet us at our hotel. In additon, Shalom checked in with us multiple times to make sure everything was going as planned. We are so happy that we used Shalom Israel Tours and also that we did a private tour. We will never forget this trip and when we go back to Israel, I would definitely use Shalom again!

I don't know where to start. Seven months of emails that were immediately answered within minutes.....itinerary changes made over 6-7 times without hesitation.....The friendliness of Shalom in every email..... But that was just the beginning....We landed and had a problem with one of our passports and would not be allowed to leave if we didn't handle some specific paperwork. Our guide jumped in, without hesitation within minutes of meeting us and said he would find out what we needed to do. The next morning we were on our way to city hall to handle the papers, he walked us in, translated for us and helped us every step of the way. He even had our new passport mailed to his home address for us as they did not want to mail it to the hotel. But here's the kicker, we ended our tour on Tues and the passport arrived Tues evening. Mordechai showed up the next morning at 8am in our hotel lobby with passport in hand. WOW! He even went another step further for us. On our two free days of non-tours he arranged car service for us and helped us make arrangements to do some fun activities for the kids. All on his own and with the warmest of smiles. But guess what? He called us the day we were leaving just to ask if the plans worked out, to say goodbye and to say he would miss us. We truly found a sincere friend at this point. Backing up a bit, the first night we landed and were taken to our hotel for dinner - suddenly Shalom Stark shows up at the hotel and said he just came by to meet us face to face and to give us his cell number at which he point he said "Call me ANYTIME 24/7 if you need anything at all, this is your dream vacation and I will do whatever it takes to make sure it is flawless" Let me tell you, my entire family was thrilled by the service, the itinerary and level of knowledge of the team and can honestly say - if you are looking for a tour, stop at this review and contact Shalom Israel Day Tours NOW. You will not be disappointed. We just got home and feel like we left family behind - thank you Shalom and Mordechai for one of the most memorable trips of a lifetime. Visited January 2014
