Sessions CollegeReviews of sessions.edu

It was a good program overall. The only recommended improvement I submitted to all my classes was to update the media included for each class. The lectures are all text-based, and tutorial videos are few and far between. When there are videos, they seem to be low quality and dated. The information is still relevant, but to engage with modern learners, presentation matters, and for those who learn better by seeing, including video lectures and how-to videos would be great. Learners can go to Udemy and other platforms to study with practicing artists who post fantastic videos and update content regularly.

The Web Design certificate program gave me the foundation I needed to make a career change.

Overall, I liked the program but the lessons need to be updated to match the current versions of Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign that are being used.

I learned so much from this program. Online learning is not my favorite but it was very practical in my circumstances of living in a small town and not having access to a classroom environment. While sometimes a challenge with limited feedback, I think given all circumstances it worked well and I was able to gain all of the knowledge I was hoping to achieve! One thing some of the instructors did occasionally was provide video instruction which was the most helpful when learning new software or techniques for color correction, for example. There is only so much understanding one can gain through reading and following multiple steps without prior knowledge or experience. Whenever they can make time to upload an actual video and explain things in detail, I felt like I got the most from those situations!! Sometimes it felt like make it or break it to understand how to do certain things. I would encourage instructors to do this more often and perhaps develop a library of videos to help with specific aspects of software learning or even camera controls, would be great! Thank you so much for this opportunity. I can't wait to see what is in my future with photography.

Some of the material was easy to follow along with but some of it was hard as well. Not being able to do live sessions on more difficult task is the only thing I didn’t like about it.

I completed the Undergraduate Certificate on Digital Photography. All of the classes I took were relevant to my goals. The professors provided great feedback on each of the class assignments. Through the courses, I gained confidence on my photography skills and gained new knowledge beyond what I was aware or expected. My comment for improvement is the need for an increased use of video for certain lectures and concepts. "Everyone" has video courses on the internet for everything, Sessions should follow that trend and exceed expectations in their courses.

I have attended Sessions College for Professional Design twice and I can say that each time they have welcomed me to the school with open arms. The registration is easy and the classes are top-notch in providing training on design and other creative mediums. I would recommend and choose Sessions College for Professional Design always.

Sessions College was a great experience for me. 100% online education is right up my alley. The subject matter - Digital Photography - was well presented. The instructors were dedicated and very professional. It wasn't an easy process, but it was very rewarding. I'm now looking forward to the next phase of my photography experiences with a newfound enthusiasm. Highly recommended!
