Just be careful. Despite they asked me my passport copy, they denied my United MileagePlus miles trading for cash. They asked all kinds of questions including security questions and password, plus a copy of passport. Then they said that they could not verify the identity. I am using United MileagePlus credit card for years, used to fly 50 times a year before Covid. I am wondering the possibility that they just want to have all those kind of personal information, then deny the customer for the payment. Just be careful. If you are denied, I recommend to change the password immediately and monitor your account closely.
