Kiel, thank you for your feedback!
You selected "Accept The Price" before check out. This selection means you have seen and accept the LOW to HIGH range quote for your item, and once the inspection is complete, your payout is sent immediately.
Our Inspection Department found/pictured the following issues with your device, and although a copy was already sent to your Member's Area weeks ago, here is a handy copy for anyone to take a look at: https://imgur.com/a/MjbqYjJ
As you can see, you misrepresented the condition of your device to obtain your quote. It's the seller's responsibility to accurately answer the questionnaire. Unfortunately, based on the inspection of this device, the payout was appropriate. We're sorry to hear you were dissatisfied. We advise answering truthfully the next time you use our service.

Bad communication skills
They've had my tablet for a while and I've only heard from them once. Don't know what the status is at this point.

Got quoted for 142 and received 7…
Got quoted for 142 and received 7 dollars. One of their issues was that it was password protected, but I'm not sure why it still would be because I factory reset it before I mailed it out. The other issues were the battery didn't hold more than 80% I find that hard to believe but I always used it while plugged in so I'll give them that. All the other "issues" where issues. Claiming there were scratches and blemishes but even in the pictures they provided the "blemishes" are very hard to see. They said I checked somewhere to be automatically paid but I do not remember doing so and would liked to have been notified that the amount I would be getting was so much lower than what I was quoted. I paid 15 dollars just to send it out to them just to get a measly 7 dollars back?? I am very unhappy and an unsatisfied "customer"
Response you their response:
I saw those pictures of the "damages" you guys are a joke. I would like to see where I had an option to get paid immediately or be told the final report first. Because I have no memory of clicking anything that said it would be sent immediately. That laptop is 6 years old and damn near flawless and I KNOW any "blemishes" would not affect the retail price that dramatically. I factory reset the laptop before I mailed it so how it became password protected is beyond me. And how are you supposed to sell it if you can't get into it?? Chances are you have a way to get around it. You guys are full of it. I lost out on money sending it to you, and y'all are tryna say it was too damaged to make a profit?? What a joke. I will not be taking your word, and I will be looking into what I can do to get my laptop back because this is absolutely ridiculous.

You selected "Accept The Price" before check out, which means you have seen and accept the LOW to HIGH range quote for your item, and once the inspection is complete, your payout is sent immediately. Our Inspection Department found/pictured the following issues with your device: imgur.com/a/0kOW2oo
As anyone can see from the photos included, your device was password locked, the battery failed our testing, the A/C adapter was damaged, and the cosmetic condition of your item was not flawless like you suggested it would be.
Unfortunately, based on the inspection of this device, the payout was appropriate. We're sorry to hear you were dissatisfied.

Can't print the USPS shipping label
Can't print the USPS shipping label. Already sent a 2nd request online to please forward the label in a different format (pdf). No telephone number to call Customer Service... So far, not impressed.

Thanks so much for reaching out. We've contacted our Inspections Department as well as general Customer Service and there seems to be no contact from the email associated with your account.
Looking into the issue, it seems USPS's automatic system failed to send you a working label. We apologize on their behalf, sadly that is not part of our service, but one another company handles. We've asked them to reissue a label, which our Customer Service Department will email to you as soon as possible.
Very sorry for the inconvenience USPS has caused. We suggest any time you need to contact us, you please use the 'Member's Area' so that someone can be with you as soon as possible. That is where customers can get in direct contact with the relevant departments.

Very bad business practices
Company policy is to keep checks that don’t get cashed soon because they put stop payments on it and cite a policy that they won’t re-issue any checks. So they keep your item and keep your money and managers won’t do anything about it apparently. I have sold items to countless other companies and no one keeps both money and product - they will at least ship back your item. This is very bad business.
Response from SellaGadgetJul 17, 2019
Just to clarify the situation:
1. You were issued a check in January of 2019 by Chase Bank on behalf of Sellagadget.com.
2. You waited until July of 2019 (6 months later) to ask if we could reissue payment, as you never cashed the payment.
3. Chase Bank has a strict policy, which is plainly printed under the payment amount of their checks reading "CHECK VOID AFTER 90 DAYS".
4. You were explained this situation, after our managers worked on this issue to try to get it resolved in your favor despite the banks policy, and your response is to blame...us?
Here is a link to the example text of the checks Chase Bank issues, which we are sure are used at multiple major banks in the United States, and also screenshots of all our communication with you including dates: https://imgur.com/a/TresUAt
We are very sorry you didn't choose to read the check sent to you, or cash it sooner than 6 months later.

As can be clearly seen in the pictures and screenshots, the payout of $4 was for: Poor packaging, password locked device, cracked screen, broken cosmetics, dirty cosmetics, and missing A/C adapter.
Unfortunately, based on the inspection of this device, the payout was appropriate. We're sorry to hear you were dissatisfied.

Horrible
Horrible. Quoted me $77 then sent me a check for $7 due to some smudges and the touchpad being slightly worn. Trust me take your valuables somewhere else sell it on offer up. I would have rather donated to a friend or college student in need than to get a $7 check in the mail. Total slap in the face.
Update to reply:
Maybe If you had more than 4 or 5 basic questions on the condition of the device, I could have gotten a more accurate quote. In my opinion it was good condition. I do not recall there being a crack on it anywhere.
The questions asks “does it work properly and fully turn on” I said yes. You claim it was password protected, but you did not ask for it to not be password protected, perhaps clarify for customers what your question fully means then.
I never had any issues with the batter, always charged to 100% for me so again perhaps you are very vague in your questions. Regardless, i stand by my review. I understand I agreed to accept any offer but going from 73 to 7 is harsh for a working laptop with no major issues in my opinion.
Also, rude customer service.

It's interesting you would claim the only reason your quote was adjusted was due to "smudges" on the touchpad, when the reasons were the item being Password Locked, the item was in Fair Condition (including a crack in the bottom case), and the Battery Failed to hold 80% capacity. The original highest quote value was also not $77, it was $73. All our supporting info, including screenshots and pictures, will be in the link to follow.

Reply to Update:
Thank you for your reply. Our questions are meant to be easy and streamlined, we also include hover-over text on each of the answers for additional clarification. For instance, the question “Do all functions work properly and device powers on?”. If you hover over the answer “YES” our hover overs text reads, “All functions work properly; no password locks or overheating, OS is installed.” For the answer of “NO”, our hover over text reads, “Device doesn’t power on, has a password lock, overheats, or OS is missing”. We show this in the imgur link in our previous reply as well.
Regarding the password lock, we mention multiple times that all passwords should be removed. As stated above, our hover-over text includes this in the first question of our questionnaire. 2.E of our Terms and Conditions also explicitly states, “To receive full Trade in Value Seller must accurately state the condition of the device. Any damages will affect the trade in value of the device; including but not limited to scratches, dents, scuffs, display malfunctions, cracks, power issues, temperatures in excess of 90C, bios or password locks, missing or corrupted Operating System, or any type of malfunction or excessive wear will significantly impact the trade in value of the device. “
In addition to both of those areas clarifying that all passwords should be removed, we also are sure to mention this in the “Order Details and Shipping Label for SAG00006183” email that we sent to you. In this email, we reminded you twice (in two different areas of the email) to remove the passwords. Here is a picture of the email, and the two sections highlighted that state this: https://imgur.com/a/dSsRy2U
Again, we're sorry to hear you were dissatisfied. However it is the customers responsibility to accurately describe the device in order to get the most accurate initial quote. As the device we received was not as you described, deductions had to be made. Unfortunately, based on the inspection of this device, the payout was appropriate.
