Not pleased with your review of my computer sent in. It was working fine when I sent it in I erased the data on the computer and then you inspected it and you said the Windows was corrupted. What’s the deal? $84.00 was the estimate and I end up with less than $8.00.

Thank you for your feedback!
You selected "Accept The Price" before check out. This selection means you have seen and accept the LOW to HIGH range quote for your item, and once the inspection is complete, your payout is sent immediately.
Our Inspection Department found/pictured the following: imgur.com/a/KRzmVYu
As can be clearly seen via the screenshots, you not only selected the incorrect model of laptop to obtain your quote (which artificially inflated it), you also sent the item in with a corrupt version of Windows, and the cosmetic condition was not flawless as you indicated. Unfortunately, based on the inspection of this device, the payout was appropriate. We're sorry to hear you were dissatisfied.
If you need any clarification, please refer to the 'Terms And Conditions' you agreed to before the order was complete: sellagadget.com/terms-and-conditions

A horrible and disgusting experience
I was excited to be able to sell my laptop but the way they handled my order is ... well... unreal. On the 14th day (never mind that they took 8 days to inspect item) they sent me a note saying that they had received notifications from UPS but no mailing label. I immediately, and I mean immediately (within 3 minutes) replied attaching said label but they never shipped my laptop. Upon inquiring, I received a note tonight stating "This order was completed and processed at 2:26 PM on Monday the 16th, right after we had sent that message; as the 14 day time limit for this order was up at 1:30:56 PM, and there wasn't a pre-paid return label provided for this order at that cutoff time." We're talking about a 45 minute window - but they won't budge. I'd highly recommend staying away from these inflexible and uncooperating people. They do everything they can to keep your item and not pay you.

It is unfortunate you have chosen to lie in your review about our service. Many of your points are simply false, and easily disproven with photographs we are about to post.
imgur.com/a/4G5m7fn
Above is a link to screenshots of communication with dates, time stamps, and clear evidence that not only did you not provide a label on time for the item (you were given 14 days), you admit to needing to reach out for help from UPS on the day the label was due. It was indeed, as you can see from the time stamps, delivered too late to us.
We do not give any additional time past the 14 days as laid out in our 'Terms and Conditions' which you had to read and agree to before completing your order. This is a company rule, and it will not be bent for anyone, as that would not be fair to every customer who has followed the guidelines to the transaction.
In addition, you lied about the condition of your laptop (pictures also included in that link above) including sending it 'Password Locked' and in 'Fair' condition instead of 'Flawless' as you indicated.
It is unreasonable for you to condemn a company for following their own 'Terms & Conditions' you agreed to simply because you desire special treatment. You are, sadly, lying about the situation to make yourself look like a victim. SellaGadget is always happy to provide other potential customers extensive evidence to prove you wrong, as we have here.

Not what I was expecting.
Unfortunately, my experience was not as simple. I mailed in the laptop in the condition mentioned which was quoted for a $61.00 check. Instead I got a measly $9.00 check. It cost me more to buy a box and bubble wrap. I requested my laptop back which they refused to do return it. I personally would not recommend using this company as it is not worth the frustration. I would have been happy to just get my laptop back.
These people have no shame in the way they manage their business. The website is not user friendly, I never received any email with helpful instructions (issue a screenshot of the message with MY email), I assumed I was accepting the quoted price, my screen did not have damage. I hope that you will take the feedback from me and multiple other customers to revise your shady process which takes advantage of people.
Response from SellaGadgetDec 18, 2019
Hello Erika,
We're sorry to hear that you are not happy with the revised quote given. As stated when we inspected this item, we found it to have some cosmetic issues (LCD Blemishes) and a Password/PIN lock. Both of these issues have been documented, photographed, and posted to your account.
You'll find through this link ( imgur.com/a/7ERIQXK ) pictures of:
1) Screenshot of our internal system indicating your selection of "Accept the Price".
2) Screenshot of our site's feature making it impossible to move forward without making a conscious selection between 'Accept the Price' and 'Contact Me'.
3) Screenshot of the verbiage used on our site when selecting 'Accept the Price'.
4) Screenshot of the hover over text on our site in regards to password locks.
5) Screenshot of section 2.E in our 'Terms & Conditions' you agreed to during your order.
6) Screenshot of the email sent to you before you sent the item about password locks.
7) Picture of your device's password locked screen.
8) Picture of your device's blemished LCD Screen.
9) Screenshot of the inspection results that were sent to you.
We try to lay everything out very clearly, in multiple places, and ask every customer for verification they have read our "Terms and Conditions" before they place an order specifically to prevent any frustration. We hope you will take the time to do so before placing an order with us again, as your frustration seems avoidable.

Claimed my laptop is not an Envy x360…
Claimed my laptop is not an Envy x360 when in fact it is. It even still has the OEM stickers on it that say so! Took the offer of $100 and brought it down to $3?!
Response from SellaGadgetDec 5, 2019
Hello Emmanuel, our Inspections Department team already responded to you, but we'll post it here as well for transparency.
Thank you for reaching out to us regarding this. According to the Serial Number on the device (5CD439201H), the device we received is a "HP ENVY 15-u010dx x360 Convertible PC" according to HP's site, link below.
support.hp.com/us-en/warrantyresult/hp-envy-15-u000-x360-convertible-pc/6944194/model/7174404?sku=G6T84UA
As this item is not the "HP Envy x360 15t Intel Core i5 CPU" that you stated it would be, we did have to change the model upon receipt. This was done due to the fact that the model we received from you was a 15-U Series, and not the 15t Series. This can also be seen on the device itself. We have uploaded a picture of this here:
imgur.com/a/CGCaTzE
As can be seen in the photo, the Serial Number is "5CD439201H" and the model of the device is stated as being "15-u010dx".
We have changed this model to "HP Envy 15 Intel Core i5 CPU", as this is what we would classify this model to be in our database. The "HP Envy 15 Intel Core i5 CPU" option on our website includes many different models, including a few x360 models. This model was chosen as it's an HP Envy, has a 15" screen, and an Intel Core i5 CPU.
Payment for your device will be released within 24 hours.
If you have any questions, let us know.

SELLER BEWARE!
I sold a laptop in very good condition to this firm and was quoted a value in advance on their website of $173 that would be paid to me. As part of this transaction, I agreed in good faith that the buyer could inspect the item and make any adjustments that were appropriate - assuming that this would save everyone time and be handled reasonably. After SellaGadget.com inspected my laptop, however, the company said the value was $13 because (a) it was locked and (b) its condition was assessed to be much poorer than my description. In order to address this, I immediately sent the company the code to unlock the computer and asked them to either (a) reassess the laptop's value or (b) send it back to me since a reduction of over 90% was ridiculous. I also note that I have sold other electronic goods in the past through other sites and have always allowed those sites to make reasonable adjustments to the items' values and have NEVER had a vendor make any adjustment let-alone one of more than 90+%. In response to this rather ridiculous drop in assessed value, I asked SellaGadget.com several times to simply unlock and reassess the value of my laptop, let me speak to someone at their company more senior to discuss this, or send my laptop back to me (and I note that had to do this each time via their website since they do not publish a phone number to call them on). Their response each time was that there was nothing they could do and that they could not reassess the computer's value (even though they had the code to unlock it) because this was "their policy". When I finally let them know that I was an attorney and felt I should report this to the Florida Attorney General's office they said that I would have to contact their legal department and that the website would have no more contact with me. Unfortunately, and in the final bit of unreasonable conduct on their part, they did not provide the contact information for their legal department despite my very clear request that they do so. All in all, for a site like this to drop the quoted value of an item by more than 90% from their site's estimator and then say "there is nothing we can do," "we can't return your item", and "there is no one else you can speak with" seems to me outrageous. The fact that I initially gave them the right to reassess the good's value upon inspection does not make their conduct reasonable since inherent in the reassessment option I agreed to was some sort of "good faith" approach to me as the seller. From my perspective, their action in using this clause was anything but "good faith" when you combine (a) their 90% drop in the item's assessed value, (b) their complete unwillingness to reassess the value (even after they had the password), (c) their refusal to let me speak with anyone live who was in a more senior position, (d) their requirement that I contact their legal department without providing me the department's contact information (despite my very specific request that they do so), and (d) their unwillingness to simply send me the laptop back so that I could sell it to a different site that would act more reasonably. In short, seller beware - clearly some people had a good experience with this group based on the overall range of reviews but mine was absurdly bad. If that is the "crapshoot" that this company generates for its customers their are simply much better companies out there in the same business who will work with you in a reasonable manner so that you don't walk away feeling ripped off.

We are sorry to hear you are dissatisfied with your final evaluation. Unfortunately, when we inspected this item, we found it to have some cosmetic damages along with a Password/PIN lock, which we have pictured and posted to your account. These issues unfortunately heavily impact the resale value of the device and the price we are able to pay for the item. To be as transparent as we can here your offer was only reduced because the condition of which it was inspected did not match how the item was represented when obtaining the online quote.
When you created your order with us you had selected to automatically accept the price should the quote change after the items inspections. Once this is selected we are not able to return the devices, as the quotes have automatically been pre-accepted and the order has been completed.
For future orders, if you would like the chance to negotiate the revised quotes or to have your device returned, please be sure to select "Contact Me" instead of "Accept the Price" at checkout.
We're unable to inspect the item again, as the order has been completed and the device processed. We do apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but we have to quote the items based on the condition that we receive them in. As this device was received with a Password/PIN lock, we did have to make a deduction for this.
We do not offer a second inspection or any quote increases, unless we think that an error was made by our staff during the inspection process. Looking over this order, we do not believe that any error was made on our end. We can clearly see, from the pictures taken, that the device was received by us with a Password/PIN lock along with the cosmetic damages stated in our Inspection Notes.
It is the expectation of the Buyer, SellaGadget, that you, the Seller, have sent the item free from any Password/PIN locks, if you selected that this item was fully functional. We are sure to include in multiple areas that any Password/PIN locks will affect the quote amount. This information can be found in the hover over text for our questionnaire answers, Terms and Conditions, along with the order submission and reminder emails that we issue.
Here is a link with all relevant screenshots and pictures: https://imgur.com/a/SgJLSi7
TLDR: Seller did not read our clear verbiage before completing the order, their claims the computer would be sent password free and in flawless condition were false, and after we informed them we would not break the 'Terms and Conditions' they agreed to, they told us they were an attorney in an effort to get us to break company policy for them.

Sell-A-Gadget offers you $5 extra to…
Sell-A-Gadget offers you $5 extra to write a review BEFORE they give you the money for your product. So I wrote my original (nice) review before being paid.
They quoted me for $30 plus i would get $5 for reviewing. After reviewing, they told me they were bringing the pay down to $22 ($5 included) because it was a slightly different model number than I thought it was. I was disappointed but could see that as being semi- valid.
But when they finally actually paid me I got a total of $11.35 even with the $5 extra for my (nice) review. They couldn't explain why either. Waste of my time and not worth the money.

THIS SERVICE WAS LESS THAN HONEST. MY QUOTE WAS $142, AND I WAS MAILED A CHECK FOR ONLY $71, HALF OF WHAT I WAS EXPECTING. ALSO THEY GAVE NO EXPLANATION AS TO WHY THERE WAS SUCH A DRASTIC DOWN GRADE. I CONTACTED THE DAYS AGO AND THEY HAVE YET TO RESPOND. I AM STILL WAITING FOR AN EXPLANATION SELLAGADGET!!!!!

Thank you for your feedback, Nicole!
You selected "Accept The Price" before check out. This selection means you have seen and accept the LOW to HIGH range quote for your item, and once the inspection is complete, your payout is sent immediately. No single number is guaranteed to any customer ever. The $142 is the value of your device IF it is in the condition you claim, which according to the inspection, it was not exactly. This of course is in the 'Terms And Conditions' you agreed to before the order was complete.
Your claim we never explained your final payout is also false, and pretty easy to disprove. To create an order with us, you made a profile on our site. This gives you access to our 'Member's Area' where our Inspections Department communicates with you directly, sending all customers pictures and detailed inspection notes BEFORE any payout is sent. Not only that, but the inspection notes are also emailed to you. Again, that info could be found in the 'Terms And Conditions' you agreed to before the order was complete.
Just to show anyone reading, here is a copy of what our Inspection Department found/pictured while inspecting your device: https://imgur.com/a/UB6ZhO5
Unfortunately, based on the inspection of this device, the payout was appropriate. We're sorry to hear you were dissatisfied.
If you need any clarification, please refer to the 'Terms And Conditions' you agreed to before the order was complete: https://sellagadget.com/terms-and-conditions
