Bought Elite package: Got "less than" service. 1) They are not allowed to call you. 2) You are to fit in their square peg. Top service is a WASTE of money. 3) They say they will do something and they don't. 4) Repeat: Your editor is not allowed to talk to you. 5) I was afraid to sign up because I was just burned by another company and when Salesman Michael said to me, "If you are not happy at any time with our service I will give you every penny back." That is not what happened. I've Called him to get him to talk to me and he disappeared. I gave them 12,500. In return I got NOTHING. Details: The editor they gave me R1 was all AI responses. I complained. My editor for my marriage and family book was their top editor who was so far off base on what my development was that I complained and asked for my money back. They do not keep on task and they do not talk to each other either. Stay away from these people Their totals on the BBB are not good. They are not approved. Beware.

I am not personally a customer of SelfPublishing.com, but I recently received an email from Publishing.com promoting this business as the place to go for publishing training and support. I paid US$1,995 to join Publishing.com in 2024 and am still seeking a refund. The FTC proceedings against Publishing.com raised serious concerns about misleading earnings claims and the manipulation of reviews and testimonials, including incentivised positive reviews and undisclosed connections involving reviewers. Given this history, I am very concerned that Rasmus and Christian Mikkelsen are now endorsing this business. Trustpilot reviews were one of the reasons I trusted Publishing.com, and my experience has seriously undermined my confidence in online ratings. I cannot comment on SelfPublishing.com's own services, as I have not purchased from them. However, I would strongly encourage anyone considering spending money to research the company carefully, read critical reviews and investigate all costs before committing.

I paid $6,000 for the self-publishing course which promised to make my book a bestseller or my money back. The package came with all sorts of perks like 12 coaching calls with a best-selling author, formatting, marketing, SEO, and a number of other promises. Not one of these promises was fulfilled. The only promise that was even partially delivered was that I received two out of the promised twelve coaching calls. The coach didn't read the drafts or notes I sent, didn't seem familiar with my project, and didn't have much advice other than to follow the teachable course. The meeting was short, the coach seemed strapped, overwhelmed, and preoccupied. The end result was essentially useless. I paid $6,000 for a glorified teachable course. While most businesses charge 20 bucks for teachable courses, self-publishing.com charges $6,000. Just because it's more expensive doesn't mean its more valuable. I tried reaching out to five different people over a period of months to get a refund, but most of them did not respond. Those that did respond just said they could not help me and passed me on from one person to the next. I am a traditionally published author. The sales people at self publishing told me they could offer marketing and other value that they simply didn't deliver. I feel like I got scammed into buying this package and the worst part is I'm at a spot in life where I desperately need the money I invested into this.

My coaching calls were brief and often ended before much progress could be made. At times, my coach did not remember my name and showed little familiarity with my project. As the project moved forward, there was little to no involvement from the coach in editing or cover development, and there was no continuity between the different teams working on my book. I was very unhappy with the cover-design process. Requests to speak with someone by phone were ignored, and relying solely on email made it difficult to resolve confusion. I also received no insider guidance or meaningful direction on creating a genre-appropriate cover. A significant portion of my investment was for marketing, which I expected to be largely handled by their team. I was clear that this was the area where I needed the most help. The e-book promotions provided have not generated a single sale to date. I was also misinformed about ISBN ownership. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend SelfPublishing.com to authors seeking comprehensive publishing support. It may be better suited for writers primarily seeking writing-focused encouragement rather than full-service publishing assistance

Complete RIPOFF! My husband paid to have book published. Did not finish book and died four months later. This rip off outfit would not bother to even call back when I wanted a refund! I was told that "you should honour his memory and finish the book!" WTF? Would not respond to Better Business Bureau. If this is the integrity....go elsewhere with your money!

Deeply Disappointed — Overpriced and Overpromised I invested a significant amount of money in this self-publishing company, only to receive what felt like a DIY experience with a luxury price tag. I had paid £100 to attend one day of their event. But my mother died days before and I flew to the USA to be with her and for the funeral. I explained the situation and offered to show them the death certificate. But still, they would not refund me. I will NEVER attend an event they host again. For the sake of £100, if they HAD shown any care and returned my money, I would have come back next year and more. Now they have cost themselves my business... And I hope yours, anyone reading this, because there are other companies that care about more than your fee.

They do not support you. I ended up doing 95% of the work myself. You should use an independent freelancer from Upwork or one of those platforms please save your money. I’m writing this review again because they hound you with upselling tactics even though I told them last time I will leave a review they still are texting me with upselling tactics even now - don’t waste your hard earned money on this lot
