This company is a complete scam, and I strongly warn anyone—especially veterans—to stay far away. As a proud Navy veteran, I entrusted them with my book, Honor Courage Commitment and NAVADMIN 190/21, expecting professionalism and integrity. Instead, they failed to deliver on their best-seller guarantee, ignored my refund request, and showed zero accountability. They take advantage of authors, making big promises but not following through. It’s disgraceful that they would scam someone who served this country with honor. If they treat a veteran like this, imagine how they’ll treat you. Don’t waste your time or money—go with a company that actually respects its clients.

This is my review and experience with Selfpublishing.com. I attended Selfpublishing.com over a year and a half ago. I wrote several children's books teaching morals, ethics and values and I needed help publishing and marketing my books. I saw Chandler Bolt's and Selfpublishing.com advertisement and thought this may help me find the path to success. I was wrong. Selfpublishing.com and Chandler Bolt did Not help me at all. The information they provide can be found online for free. I attended their coaching classes and barely received the information I needed to get my books published. The coaches taught and encouraged students to give each other 5 star reviews on Amazon which manipulates the algorithm to place their books on the top of their sub genres ...making it appear that they are best sellers. I did not feel comfortable with that behavior. I took a deep dive and found out the majority of authors Chandler Bolt claimed to help become best sellers are not true best sellers on Amazon...they are giving their books away and have NOT made any large amounts of money showing that they are not best sellers. I equate a best selling author as someone who has made lots of money in a short period of time. None of these individuals are making any money. There is no Return on Investment. In my eyes if you spend $7000...you should make minimum of $21000 within a given timeframe. Here...there is no return on investment. I lost a large sum of money. I am a single mother with a special needs child. This month February 2025 I received a threat of legal action against me from Selfpublishing.com because I put up negative reviews to keep others from being taken advantage of by this company. Please do NOT attend this program. This is not a certified or legitimized writing or marketing program thru the Department of Education. You can find all the information for free online. Save your hard earned money and time.

Chandler Bolt and SelfPublishing.com are not to be trusted. They took my money and disappeared, leaving me with an incomplete manuscript and no recourse.

they keep hounding you with text messages and emails and phone calls making out they have this once in a lifetime event - their service is very poor, its smoke and mirrors - i paid crazy money to do my book and i ended up doing all the work myself and using others outside of this company to finish it and publish it - what a shame - dont be fooled by them if you can find a good person/mentor to guide you, go that route - the reason im writing this is i told them to stop sending me messages and calling me otherwise i will write reviews - guess what? yep they keep calling and texting

I recently bought a course from them and due to a glitch in their site I bought it twice. I contacted them about it and they claimed it was a phantom charge on my end and they only saw one. I gave it a few days and contacted them again about a refund. No response. They're scammers.

They sold me the "Author Accelerator Advantage" program for $11.5k. Huge mistake. Firstly, they advertised on numerous places in their website that they did author websites and that was a big reason I purchased this since that's a $1000 in itself. I was told multiple times that they don't do them anymore, despite the fact they advertised it. Ridiculous. The process of getting my cover done was extremely frustrating. I first worked with someone named "Joe." Joe was extremely unprofessional, never returned emails, waited weeks to get anything done. Absolutely TERRIBLE experience. It took me weeks to get anything done with this guy. I even texted/called him numerous times to try to get him to do something very simple for me (upload to KDP so I could send my dying father a copy of the book) and he dragged his feet for WEEKS. Absolutely absurd, but I came to learn he's about normal for this company. I should have listened to the rest of the terrible reviews. I then complained to the CEO on Facebook, and Tyler Perdue called me. He described himself as a "fixer." After all the problems they were trying to advertise a package that had what I wanted: guaranteed reviews and a best seller. That's all I wanted, reviews and a best seller. He said, both on a voice call and in writing in an email, that he could "definitely" get my book to best seller and 100 reviews. We spoke about it at length. He said he could "definitely" do it. We had the understanding that that would happen. It never happened. I have no new reviews and no proof my book hit best seller. He tried to claim that it "should have hit best seller" but where's the proof? You're telling me that for $11.5k you don't have someone to take a damn screenshot or something? Really? NO PROOF. Both he and Dakota tried to claim they never promised reviews. What does the word "definitely" mean then? Absolutely abysmal experience from this company. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY.

I signed up to publish with them and dearly paid for it. It felt like an exclusive boys’ club especially the mastermind meetings and as a novice I was not told about the importance of marketing. My book didn’t get the best seller tag and I was denied their money back guarantee because I was one WEEK over their one year time line. Nonsense. And they recommended a Swedish cover designer who was way overpriced ($400!). I’d have fared better with a 15$ designer. Seriously. Chandler Bolt feels like a common schemer out to get your money.

Horrible communication, unpoffesional treatment of clients, doesnt follow through with their words. I made a big payment, got no notice for another invoice, was told I would recieve a call, no call. Followed, was told I would recieve an email, no email. Send an email of my concerns, asking for a refund, most of the email was ignored and pressed forth to talk about payments. For 7 THOUSAND dollars, this is unnacceptable. Do not invest in this company.
