Lack of training materials, poor facilities and logistics detracted from learning
- Secure Ninja training materials were less than adequate. 1) The instructor specified the need for a white board and, not having one, did not cover all the information in the detail that he would have liked. 2) Also, rather than providing flip notebooks, Secure Ninja should provide hard copies of the slides so that students could take notes directly onto the slides. 3) the slides presented were dated 2 years prior to the class, leaving some students to question the currency and accuracy of the training materials in relation to the test. - Facilities were inadequate for learning to take place. 1) The room was too hot making it easier for students to fall asleep during class. 2) When the instructor opened the door to cool the room, other people would walk by our room and say hello to our instructor in the middle of class, causing distractions throughout the day. Also, students from other classes would stand directly in front of our room during breaks (which was adjacent to the break area) and make noise or talk. 3) The walls were too thin and noise from ongoing classes in adjacent classrooms caused distractions. - Logistics was hit or miss. They put the soft drinks in the fridge on the morning of the class and so the drinks never got cool. So the “free” soft drinks went to the Secure Ninja employees at the end of the day and not to the students. I needed the caffeine to offset the warm room.
