i’d like to improve this review but so far I’m not very impressed. I paid for my chair several days ago and I still have no idea when it will be shipped. I also left a message at your offices in your voicemail. The message said you would return my call within 24 hours and it’s been a couple of days. I am close to requesting a refund.

Poor recommendations from customer service destroyed my chair, but because I caused the damage no refund. I reached out for help because my chair was not going down. I found out that I incorrectly installed the cylinder of my Steelcase Leap V2 that they sent me. The videos they sent me to disconnect and resemble the cylinder correctly damaged my frame because they suggested for me to take a metal hammer to it. Then they sent me a video to put duct tape around the center of the cylinder and use a vice grip wrench to twist it loose. That resulted in me chewing up the cylinder in the center. So, I did a simple google search on how to disassemble a Steelcase Leap V2 and found a youtube video from a legit company. I was able to disconnect the seat from the cylinder easily with a pipe wrench at the top of the cylinder and put the cylinder in correctly. However, the cylinder is shot now because their video that instructed me to use the duct tape with a vise grip chewed up the cylinder. So it will go down now, but won't go up because the cylinder is chewed up and cylinder locks going back up on the chewed metal in the lowest seating position. So I went onto ebay and just bought a replacement cylinder for $60 because it was cheaper then the restocking fee for them taking it back. Plus, they most likely wouldn't because it was not a manufacturer defect. I caused the damaged based off their videos they sent me to dissemble it. User error.

Scam website, never ship out my chair, so I contacted them to cancel my order. They said the refund should get back to me in 5 days, but it never did. I disputed it in my credit card, and seatingmind told me because I disputed, they refused to refund me. Such a scam company, such ridiculous unfair clause that never disclosed to me before.

I just received my chair and it seems that it arrived damaged. The arm rest is broken. Please see the attached photo and advise how the issue will be received. Thank you

I would give them minus stars if I could. This company is a complete scam! Order has continually been postponed 10 to 14 days and then when I canceled they said ok - another 10 to 14 days to clear bank. Now they say another 10 days with a $14.85 service fee. I have sent the dispute to my credit card company for a full refund. Buyer Beware - this is not a good company!!!

Hello Jennifer Please note that the service fee is a charge for us (seating mind) to pay. Not you.

One of the worst sellers I’ve ever dealt with. I’m thrilled for those customers that had no issues but based on my experience i can only advise to run as far and fast as you can in the other direction. (1) Ordering (A)—website easy to use (2) Tracking (D)—was referred to a useless Route app to track transit and after two weeks of no activity I reached out by email (forget about trying to get someone on the phone!) who told me to allow at least 30 days for delivery. Hmm, must have missed that on the website. Anyway, RouteApp never did work. (3) Packaging-F, F, F!!!! Box was completely crushed on one side and chair parts were thrown in haphazardly improperly wrapped. No cushioning material on bottom of box, no protection of leather seat back or other parts (with the exception of the cylinder) because one layer of bubble wrap was placed on each piece but not taped or enfolded around it. Fairly horrifying for a $600 chair. (4) Condition of Parts (C)-some blemishes on leather and scratches on plastic components which didn’t bother me because it is a refurbished chair but a big red flag was the stitching where the leather was attached to the material at the bottom of the seat back. It was unraveling which gave me some concern about the quality of workmanship. (5) Assembly Directions (F)—no written instructions just two video links, depending on what kind of cylinder the chair uses. Both videos went very quickly, so much so that I had to rewind and watch again several times and still missed vital information such as how to properly place the cylinder in the seat receptacle and the portion of the video about the seat bottom was incomplete. (6) Honoring of Customer 30-Day Satisfaction Guarantee (at present a C- but verdict is still out, grade could be reduced). After seeing the atrocious packaging, bad stitching and lazy assembly instructions I quickly realized that I didn’t have confidence in SeatMinding’s product quality and ability to address customer concerns for a high-priced item I planned to use for years and so decided to return the chair. Was told by customer service rep that there was a 20% restocking fee which I’m not happy about but I’m willing to pay up to be done with this company and get a high-quality chair elsewhere with customer service that I can trust. But then the CS rep insisted that it must be returned in the original box which had been crushed (see section 3, Packaging). Three emails and two photos of the damaged box later and the rep is still insisting that I use the original box. So now we are at a crossroad where either SeatMinding (or UPS, their shipping partner) can provide a new box or I can use three rolls of boxing tape to try and stabilize a mess of cardboard while getting in writing that I am not responsible for any damage that may occur during return transit due to being forced to use the original damaged box. If I had to summarize SeatMinding in one word it would be HEADACHE.

DO NOT ORDER! I asked to cancel my order because I saw a bunch of reviews about shady stuff and the BBB says SeatingMind lost its certification to do business. SeatingMind was polite but responded with a weird looking email that said my order didn’t go through, but the payment went from pending to posted on my credit card and now I have to dispute the charge.
