Wish I had the option to actually pay by credit card as opposed to PayPal, but otherwise shopping wasn't too bad. Edit: Chair arrived and it looks and feels virtually brand new. Very happy with my purchase. The above is more of a statement on how the checkout process can be confusing when trying to pay as opposed to the service I received.

The order process was easy and what I was looking for in available options.

I've seen a lot of negative reviews for this site but thankfully my experience was a very positive one. One thing to keep in mind is that there is a delay in the chair shipping, as there are a lot of people ordering office chairs due to the pandemic and working from home. I ordered my chair at the end of September and just today (October 28) received it in the mail. It came in very good shape just as pictured. My chair came put together, I just had to connect the back of the chair to the seat, which was easy enough. I would order a chair from them again.

I haven’t received my order as of yet but my shopping experience was good. My only complaint is that it is stated on the website free shipping on all orders yet with no disclaimer. So I was a little taken aback at $125 for shipping upon check out. Obviously I still purchased the item but that’s the reason for only 4 stars. Update: I was told I must have chosen expedited shipping but I did not. I was only given the option of fixed shipping on this item and wasn’t unable to uncheck it.

I was pretty pleased to find a Herman Miller office chair for 50% off. I was shopping for cheaper alternatives and thought I would see if I could find an HM instead. I don't have the chair yet, so I can't give you 5 stars.

Since I have yet to receive the chair this survey is premature. As a senior citizen on a fixed income a purchase like this is not a decision I took lightly. Because of physical issues, I need a chair with good support. I hope this will be the one.

UPDATED 10/21/2020: After waiting for 8 weeks, my order was shipped out immediately following my review on 10/14. I received my chair on Monday 10/19/20 in perfect condition. My only minor complaint was that I almost didn’t find the tool required to screw the top together - it honestly would help to have had it taped to the chair with some instructions instead of flying loose around the box, but luckily I found it and was able to assemble without a problem. I’ve revised my rating from two stars to four stars to reflect the quality of the product and the speed and attentiveness of customer service to get the issue resolved. I had to deduct at least one star due to the actual amount of time it took to receive compared to the time estimated when ordering. I think it would help if they were a little more transparent and honest about the supply delays due to COVID-19. I think people would be more understanding if you were more proactive in communicating the delays rather than waiting for a complaint to react and respond, but that’s just my opinion. Overall I am very happy with the chair and very thankful to finally have it, Thank you!! ORIGINAL REVIEW (10/14/2020): I placed my order on August 21, 2020 after a lot of thought and research. I have never spent this much on ANY piece of furniture before but after 6 months of working from home, I have developed some serious lower back problems and need the best possible ergonomic chair available. This is the same brand of chair I have in my office at work and I know that it did not cause me pain, so I decided to go for it. The website stated that “Most orders are processed within 10-14 business days” and that there may be an extra week needed due to COVID-19. Understandable, I can wait a month if it will solve my back pain. After four weeks, I reached out to customer service to request a status update as my order was still listed as “Processing”. I received a prompt reply the following day from customer service stating that everything was taking longer than expected due to COVID, but if I can wait another 30 days for shipping, it was sure to be ready. They did offer to cancel my order and issue a full refund, but as I do understand the difficulty of the situation with the pandemic and I really need this chair, I said yes, I was willing to wait 30 more days. A week or so later my order status was miraculously changed to ”Shipped”. I got really excited until I went to the tracking only to see that it had not been shipped, just the shipping label had been printed. It has now been 8 weeks and I’m beginning to wonder if I’ve been had. I have reached back out to customer service for an update, but I’m starting to think I’m never going to receive my chair. I’ve seen some other reviews from people who placed orders after mine who have received their chairs, so I’m confused as to why mine is still in pieces. Again, I do understand the difficulty of the situation with the pandemic, however if you are THIS far behind and you know it, you really should not still be taking orders on your website. You need to list items as Sold Out or Out of Stock until you get the supplies you need, and you need to update your website to list 8-12 week delivery times, NOT 3-4 weeks. I will commend customer service for their prompt reply and I do feel for the staff who I’m sure are doing their best with the situation, but I don’t know if my back can wait until this company and/or their suppliers recover from the pandemic delays sometime in 2021-2022 for this chair. If a miracle occurs and I receive my chair within the next week or two and it’s in the good, NEW condition I paid for, then I will revisit and reconsider my rating.
