The seat I ordered does not hold the height I set. As soon as I sit down, it goes back to the lowest level. That bothers me a lot because the chair is too low to match any desk I have.

Here's the definition of a "refurbished" product from Wikipedia: "Refurbished products may be unused customer returns that are essentially "new" items, or they may be defective products that were returned under warranty, and resold by the manufacturer after repairing the defects and ensuring proper function." It's very clear that this wasn't refurbished. I imagine it was just packaged up from wherever the bought it from and sent to me, maybe after a brief visual inspection. No surfaces were wiped down, and the casters were full of hair and dust and gunk. Worst of all, though, a plastic component holding the mesh backing in place on the left side was broken out of the box (I wish I could attach an image to this review). This means that the entire left side of my back gets no support from the mesh and instead leans directly onto the cables strung across the back of the chair. It's very uncomfortable. Customer Service only agreed to give me a 10% refund, which I refused on principle. If you purchase this, know that you're basically gambling on getting a structurally sound (and likely dirty) chair from wherever it is they source their used chairs. They get two stars because my chair did in fact ship within their 10-14 business day window, with tracking info, and showed up to my apartment about a week or so later. I'm sure Seating Mind is pretty crunched with orders given the mass work-from-home migration, and I appreciate that the ordering/shipping process was painless. Here's the kicker: I tried to leave this review on the product page on Seatingmind's website, and it's been "awaiting review" for about 10 days now, and they've ignored my email asking about it.

Ordered on 8/29 and 8/31 and still zero acknowledgement of the order or estimated delivery date. Many online retailers are stepping up their game during these times of working remote, seems like your not terribly concerned about customers. Received the following response immediately after my review took place: Reply from Seatingmind... "Not sure what the issue is. You just ordered it a few days ago. (quite rude) The shipping and returns link on the bottom of every page shows the shipping time expectations. You will not get a chair in 3 days when we go through a refurbishing and quality assurance procedure (one of my items was new, so what refurbishment is needed? Also I didn't ask to "get my chair", I just wanted an acknowledgement of an order and estimated ship date, like other sites I order from) I did send your message thought to customer service." Then within 24 hours was told this: "UPDATE: JUST INFORMED THAT IT WILL SHIP NEXT WEEK." I was excited to get this response, but 5 days later and still no acknowledgement of a potential ship date. So I repeat... What happened to my order?

It is really hard to get communication in order status after order is placed. The website says 10-14 day and I am on the 10th day with no status update and very slow response to email. I sent an email last week to request status and has to follow up begging for a response with an email that simply offered a quicker ship time for $299, not happy at all!

Probably be a good idea for you guys to process my order and at least let me know it’s on the way before asking how you did. So far seems it’s been about 48 hours but no mention of actually sending and completing my order in a timely manner for me to be confident I’m getting the minimum service advertised and expected.

Website does not mention shipping or processing delays prior to purchasing. After you place an order a banner appears which explains the 10-14 business days for processing/fulfillment + the potential for an additional 7 business day delay due to Covid. That doesn’t even include the shipping time. If you’re expecting a quick turnaround, you should probably look elsewhere.

I understand that everyone is working from home, creating delays with getting materials from suppliers and a backlog of orders due to COVID. However, I received a chair that was very dirty, looks like the dials were chewed by off, and the headrest was missing. I notified customer service, and after several very short emails and weeks later a headrest was sent. It doesn't match the chair at all and the holes don't fit, either. The lead time doesn't bother me at all. The only reason I'm disappointed is that what was shown in the photo was not what I received, and I chose this retailer over others because of the headrest option. I would have appreciated a heads up on what I was going to get if it was different than what was advertised from the customer service team.

I just wanted to make another post since I still haven't received any further updates regarding my order. Customer service addressed that there is a 1-2 week delay on getting shipments out, but it's now about to be 3 weeks since I placed my order with still no update about my tracking being activated. The last email I received from customer support said to reach out again if that didn't happen yet so I'd like to just bring attention to this concern.
