Not what I expected from magnet, ability to easily get cards out and screen protectors
I bought it with the understanding that it would work with a magnet in the car. It only works with their magnet that you have to use adhesive to apply- not the suction cup type one I have. I have also found it difficult to remove the cards if you have more than three in there. I can only have 2 cards in it if I want to carry a $20 bill or something. Then the final straw was the case was causing my Belkin glass screen protector on my iPhone 16 ProMax to fail. I had the screen protector warranty replacement applied at the Apple Store using their little machine. It failed that night. I went back to Apple and they applied 2 more until they finally figured out that the case was what was preventing proper adhesion. It was touching the screen protector and causing it to lift slightly. They applied a 3rd one and told me I had to stop using the Scooch case. When I wrote to customer service they said for me to apply the screen protector myself and not bother with Apple doing it. I asked for a refund and so far they have refused.
Response from ScoochSep 5, 2025
Hi Laura, Thank you for sharing your feedback, and we’re sorry for the frustration you’ve experienced. We’d like to clarify a few things to help: • Mount Compatibility: We understand the confusion here. The Wingmate is not compatible with MagSafe-style mounts like the Andery suction model you mentioned. Our cases are designed to work best with Scooch-approved mounts that secure with adhesive. We’ll work on making this distinction clearer in our listings. • Card Capacity: You’re right that we could explain this better. Most current Wingmate models are designed to hold 3–4 cards, but if you also want to carry cash, we recommend subtracting one card to leave room for bills. Our older Wingmate models are slightly slimmer and typically fit up to 3 cards, or 2 cards plus some cash. We’ll be updating our descriptions to make this more obvious. • Screen Protectors: Our cases are designed and tested to work with Scooch-branded screen protectors. Because third-party protectors vary in thickness and adhesive, we unfortunately can’t guarantee compatibility with all options, including Belkin’s machine-applied protectors. We did review the emails on this order and understand your concerns. If you’d like us to revisit your case and explore possible options, please reach back out to us directly at [email protected] so our team can assist you further. We did not receive a response from you after our last interaction. so we never solidified a refund plan. We truly appreciate your feedback and the opportunity to improve our communication and product descriptions.
