Overall I was not impressed and I was disappointed with Kaplan's study material offerings. The video material was not engaging at all, it was not creative, and it often seemed like the presenter was simply reading the course book material. I was really looking forward to the mp3 content I purchased because I like to listen to audio while I'm driving, getting ready in the morning, cooking, etc. It turned out the audio was simply the video content and it didn't seem possible to listen to just the audio easily on an app or through my phone. This was a waste of money. After having taken the level 1 exam, i don't find that much of the quiz questions were relevant or on point. I think I spent a lot of time studying Kaplan material that was not in the exam at all. I am very unlikely to chose Kaplan again for future study materials.

So average. Honestly want some of my money back

After having a good experience with Schweser for L2 (apart from the system outtages before the test), I used them again for L3 of the CFA but was confused when the actual test was NOTHING like their mock exams ... in spite of putting forth a full fledged effort and studying well over 450 hours, I failed L3... I get it, sometimes you work hard and it doesn't work out... but after looking at the Reddit r/CFA Level 3 message boards, it turns out A LOT of people who used Schweser for L3 failed the test... some people claimed to have failed as many as 3 times when using Schweser before switching to another provider and passing My advice is Schweser may be fine for Ls 1 & 2, but avoid it like the plague for L3!!!

Submitted my documents to have my online access extended as I deferred my FRM exam. Process took over a month to complete, multiple emails to student support/ customer service with little or no response, not very receptive or helpful over the phone either and with an attitude. Now I have my access extended since Dec 12, I still cannot view any content on the portal, review quizzes, lectures etc. Unfair to the students that pay for this program to not have access readily available to review and set a plan to prepare for exams. Availability given as "Jan 2022 " but no specific date when. Overall seems like Kaplan and other learning providers rather take our money while setting us up for failure than success

Normally they have good learning materials for the CFA programm but now during exam week their website keeps crashing and you can't access the materials you paid for. Worst timing ever! Also they dont reply to my mails when I ask them for support if the website crashes.

I did not feel that the question back properly prepared me for the exam. The exam questions were more difficult and the Kaplan mock exams and q-banks were not very representative of the exam.

I purchased the CAIA Level 2 materials on December 1st, 2020 (EssentialPlus package). They were supposed to come with 2 practice exams (part of the "core" section of the materials) and 1 mock exam (part of the "review" section of the materials). It's February 23rd and my test is on March 8th. All 3 exams, both practice and mock, are still not available on the online portal. I contacted customer service and the answer was "sorry, tough luck". Additionally, I was told that these practice exams are "review" materials (despite being part of the "core" materials on the website) and that they get released right before the test window. So I paid $800 for test materials, and basically got shorted 3 practice exams because Kaplan apparently gets to decide when candidates can study the materials that they paid for in full, in advance. That's not how Kaplan structured the CFA materials when I took that test. It's a bit absurd that they won't even entertain a partial refund for the materials that they haven't even provided me yet. I would try UpperMark or Wiley for CAIA test prep materials.
