I came to School of Motion for one reason and stayed for many more. Their courses are top notch and I would highly recommend them to any artist looking to enhance their knowledge and skill set in the digital arts.

I gave you five stars, because you are the first animation school I think of before all others and the first alumni group I go to for help, community and comfort. Joey, you have built it, I have come.

The teaching style at School of Motion is the best. I struggle with self-paced courses and so having content released daily, teaching assistants critiquing my work and an amazing community of other motion designers to collaborate with, it really motivates me to keep up and keep learning. I've taken 5 courses at SOM and I plan to take more. It has allowed to to more than double my skill level and literally change my career!

I’ve been taking classes at School of Motion for over a year now and I would highly recommend doing so if your passion is for graphic design, animation, or VFX. I learned much more than I would have by just watching YouTube tutorials or aimlessly trying to figure out the Adobe software or Cinema 4D on my own. The instructors are courteous, professional, and know the material and the TAs are there to assist with critiquing your work or to simply answer any questions you may have.

I've taken a trillion online courses, and this is the only one that has ever really got me to DO the thing. The courses are high-quality and the instructions not only know how to design, they also know how to teach (usually you only get one or the other). Not only that, the support and excitment in the cohorts is contagious. My one critique is that these courses really don't seem to be designed with women in mind. Many women get stuck doing things like housework, admin work, and childcare that men continually weezle their way out of (jerks) and although this is by no means the school's fault, it's something they should really really take into consideration. Why? Because 20+ hours a week on top of a full-time job is already going to bring many folks to the brink of burnout, let alone someone who gets sacked with all the unpaid admin tasks of her family. In fact, even not having kids myself and trying my best to ensure a feminist household, I definitely hit major burnout during this course and can't say I've quite recovered yet. The way to fix this is two-fold. Either make the course longer, by building in more catch-up time, or charge an additional fee for people who want access to feedback after the course has finished. For example you can charge a normal price for the session with feedback limited to the session's timeframe, or one where you allow the person to join whatever session they want (or limit it to a certain number). Women's rights issues aside, the course really is a bit too rigorous for the working person, so some adaptations to make it more reasonable would be highly appreciated! In general, these courses are so good, which is why it's painful not to have enough time to do well in them. So I think something should be done about this. I really need a course of this quality to be inspired, and I really DO need the push that School of Motion offers, I just don't want to end up feeling like a truck has run over me after I finish a course, ya know?

I can't recommend School if Motion enough. The courses are incredibly detailed and specific for the subjects. The course instructors are amazing and the TAs are really helpful. They're insanely intense courses but you can see an absolutely huge improvement in your work in a matter of weeks! I love them and will definitely be taking more courses in the future.

School of Motion delivers high quality educational content at a very fair price. I have taken a few courses with School of Motion and it has helped me learn new skills that directly impacted my current employment in a positive way. The classes are dense and there is a lot of material to learn. Compared to other online motion graphics schools out there, School of Motion is maybe the most costly, but you get what you pay for. They are also cultivating a strong community for the Alums for their courses. Which is something that is invaluable for growth.
