As a busy business owner, one of the biggest benefits of the Rockwell School of Holistic Medicine was the ability to learn at my own pace. The self-study format made it manageable to fit into my schedule, while still offering a wealth of valuable information. I really enjoyed diving deeper into functional medicine, natural medicine, and nutritional medicine, and found the material both practical and insightful.

Finishing the Doctor of Natural Medicine (DNM) program at the Rockwell School of Natural Medicine was one of the most meaningful experiences of my life. I loved the program—it was incredibly informative and filled with so much valuable knowledge that I am still processing it all. Everyone was so helpful and supportive throughout the journey, which made the experience even richer. For me, the DNM was more than a degree; it was true integration of my healing, my culture, my passion for natural health, and my work.

I started with the old program in November 2024. I also took the new program and loved it. The old program was very good, but the new program gave me a different perspective. I highly recommend Rockwell school of holistic medicine to anybody who wants to truly learn what medicine is all about Joy A. Reiss

Hi, Joy. I love that you loved both the old (and the new!) programs and had the experience of doing both, before archival–how very special that is (and you) are! Thanks for sharing your experience. Warmest, Luna

Rockwell provides an incredibly fulfilling and affordable dive into multiple branches of holistic medicine. While I think an essay/dissertation should still be required for all specialties, I appreciate Rockwell's attention to accessibility by graduating students after taking the rigorous curriculum. I studied Functional Medicine with them and can confirm learning a wealth of information that, while a holistic medical discipline, include vast amounts of allopathic medicine material. I highly recommend Rockwell for anyone looking to enter and specialize in a modality within holistic medicine.

Hi Sarah, We’re so glad to hear you found the program both fulfilling and valuable. Functional Medicine is such an empowering subject to learn about and practice! While the essay is no longer required in the updated modules, in place of tests, quizzes, and extensive required reading, students are still welcome to submit one for review if they’d like to be considered for graduating with honors and for publication in our peer-reviewed journal, which we’ll be launching later this year. Wishing you the best as you move forward in your practice, and thanks again for your kind feedback. Warmly, Alexandra

I’m beyond thrilled to share that I’ve officially earned my Doctorate in Functional Medicine from Rockwell School of Holistic Medicine — and I couldn’t be more grateful for this journey. Rockwell isn’t just a school; it’s a launchpad for excellence. The depth of the curriculum, the real-world clinical applications, and the way each module built my confidence to practice at a higher level were second to none. Every lesson was both academically challenging and personally transformative, blending science-backed knowledge with the holistic philosophy that true healing comes from treating the whole person. What really sets Rockwell apart is their commitment to student success. The support is unmatched — from detailed course materials to accessible, encouraging guidance that kept me motivated through the toughest sections. I never felt like “just another student”; I felt like part of a mission-driven community that genuinely wants to see its graduates thrive and make an impact. This program didn’t just give me a certificate — it gave me mastery, credibility, and the ability to integrate powerful functional medicine strategies into my work and my brand. If you’re ready to become the go-to authority in your field, Rockwell will get you there. WE DID IT! — Ilana Rachele Kennedy, DFM
