Clean store and helpful friendly staff

We received a 10% discount to match D sporting goods military discount a little over a month ago. When we went back and asked for it they said they never did that before which was not true. We left D sporting goods to go to scheels specifically to get the discount and get the larger item since D sporting goods didn’t have the larger model. It wasn’t the fact that we didn’t get to match military it’s the fact they they dismissed me and said it never happened when I have the receipt from my last purchase. Regardless we will more than likely return the items and go back to D sporting goods. They at-least don’t charge a public improvement fee tax on top of regular tax which makes the military at scheels almost pointless. I know how Karen like this sounds but if I’m choosing to drive further and paying for everything we need to go camping and spending thousands and getting your credit card, I’d at least like some consistency and preferably the discount since everything is expensive already.

I buy $400 a month from Scheels. Great company. Great prices great customer service. I have finally bought something from Scheels that is a terrible product. This product has no reflect on Scheels nor will I change my buying habits from Scheels. I rarely make comments but my fellow shooters have to know that Vortex SPARC II red dot is complete junk It has 3 metal lanyards to hold the caps on the battery windage and elevation Those lanyards bind and make the caps a two handed dance to remove. I destroyed the battery cap with pliers and a towel to loosen against the metal tether. They remind me of my daughters pink flamingo floatie that has a keeper on the plug so you don’t lose it. If you are responsible enough to shoot a weapon I pray you are aware enough not to lose the adjustment and battery caps without a tether that is nothing but a binding problem when you try to remove the caps. Marketing genius real world nightmare. The red dot at 30 yards looks like a squashed bug. Bigger than any bullseye. I see why it’s on clearance. I have a $29.00 Amazon red dot for a junk rifle that is zeiss quality as compared to this optic. I’m not mad. Just educated now

Ordered a 13 qt Engels live bait cooler on Tuesday and got it on Friday. Great service! Why doesn’t Lubbock or Amarillo Texas have a Scheel’s?

This was my first time ordering from Scheels and I was impressed. Their prices are much lower than the big box stores and shipping arrived in less than a week. I will be using Scheels again.
