$10,000 Invested, $0 Revenue in 62 days, and the Advertised Refund Was Refused
I paid Scaling With Systems/OmniBuys LLC $10,000 for a service advertised as a complete, custom-built, done-for-you marketing system. Their sales page (companyname dot com) publicly states that the system will be live within 10 days, that SWS would build 80% of it, and that clients should expect to contribute approximately 1–2 hours per week. Most importantly, it advertised an ROI guarantee stating: “If the system doesn’t pay for itself in 30 days, you get your money back.” I specifically asked about the guarantee during my sales call, and my understanding of that guarantee was a decisive reason I made the investment. My actual experience was materially different. The system was not live within 10 days. My account manager later acknowledged in writing that it launched 31 days after onboarding. He also acknowledged that the first campaign had incorrect targeting, the landing page contained an outdated VSL, new ads were not reactivated when promised, I had to activate them myself, responses were sometimes slow, and messages had been missed. The service also did not function as the done-for-you system I was promised. I personally had to develop & rewrite positioning, advertising copy, creatives, landing-page copy, automation messaging & the VSL. I created the presentation, recorded the VSL, identified implementation problems and repeatedly followed up to get work corrected or activated. SWS did provide some marketing assets but failed to ever address strategy on the account. The sales page also promised a funnel that automatically qualifies leads and follow-up that gets prospects to show up “warm and ready.” Of 27 appointments discussed with my account manager, 20 never became completed sales conversations. The prospects I did speak with overwhelmingly lacked the financial capacity or suitability to purchase my $4,000 program. The system generated no revenue for me. (1 of the leads was calling me from a motel, clearly homeless. 2 were truck drivers and one was s*xlly inappropriate with me. Qualified leads you say? smh. When I requested the advertised refund, SWS refused. I was told that the agreement instead made payments nonrefundable after seven days and that the remedy for failing to generate a return was additional service time. Not money back. That is materially different from the prominent sales-page promise that if the system did not pay for itself within 30 days, I would get my money back. (Go check for yourself) I repeatedly attempted to resolve the matter directly. I documented the problems in writing, continued supplying materials, proposed solutions and gave the company opportunities to correct the issues. I was eventually told that my complaint had been escalated to leadership, but leadership did not respond by the promised time or after my subsequent written deadline. I have preserved the sales page, agreement, Slack correspondence, campaign timeline and written acknowledgments of the execution failures. I have now disputed the charges with both credit-card issuers. This review reflects my personal experience and the records available to me. At the time of posting, SWS has not refunded my $10,000, and the matter remains unresolved. Update after this POS company responded: You clearly are not acknowledging all of the FACTS. The "contract" was never executed because the business never signed it, its irrelevant. But at least anyone debating paying you will now see that the contract you make clients sign basically negates all of hte public and sales call promises ergo: the refund guarantee is a lie. You also refused to provide me with a transcript of that sales call, presumably because you know it backs me up and not you. As I said in my formal notification to your company - if my credit card dispute is not won, I will be proceeding with legal action - my attorney has already advised me that you have a very weak case based legal discrepancies & that in most cases like this a judge would favor the deliberately misled party. A family friend is lending me the money to hire an attorney if need be. Covering my legal fees as well as emotional suffering will be included in the lawsuit. This is going to end up costing you more than refunding me and will be public record. Your bs sales page promises that your company is "not like others" but you are worse. Because you LIE to get clients. It's amazing to me that you choose to ghost my complaint & not refund me rather than be ethically credible and stand behind your promises. THIS is the business you are. In black and white. I have screenshots of every conversation I had with my AM & can prove every single one of my claims. This is a matter of principle now.
Response from Scaling With SystemsOct 15, 2026
Hi Penelope, We take every review seriously, so here are the facts of this engagement. On the guarantee: Our website summarizes our guarantees and says the terms are explained on the call. On this client's recorded sales call, before any payment, the terms were explained twice: a full refund if requested within 7 days of onboarding, and if the program hasn't produced a profitable return within 60 days, we keep working at no extra cost. A 30-day refund was never offered on the call as the client does not qualify (doing less than $10,000/month with no real provable offer). The client signed the agreement on their own time, we did not force them to sign it. They didn't request a refund during the 7-day window. On the work: We built the offer strategy. We wrote the funnel copy, ad scripts, emails and sales script. We built and hosted the funnel, application and booking system, set up the automations, edited the videos, and launched and ran the ad campaigns. Our clients approve each piece and take their own sales calls. On timing: After onboarding, the client changed the program structure dramatically. That meant rewriting the copy and re-recording the video. We also extended the service period at no cost. On results: The campaign booked 29 sales calls with prospects who completed the application which had qualifying and disqualifying steps. The client ran those sales calls, and closing them was in the client's hands. When the client asked for a refund, we answered in writing the same day and offered to keep working at no cost, as the agreement provides. That offer still stands.
