I've been coming Sage Dental for 6 years because of the convenience of the location. I've never been overly happy with them but never made the effort to find another provider. Today, the dentist checked me out and confirmed that I had no cavities. Then, after waiting 45 minutes for the hygienist, I as given a iPad and shown a treatment plan for a $300 special cleaning that I supposedly needed - none of which would be covered by insurance. I explained that I scheduled the normal treatment and that's what I wanted, but was told they would not do the cleaning covered by insurance because I needed this special one - even though the dentist had just said I have no cavities. Once I questioned this supposed treatment plan, they became very defensive and it seemed even more like a scam, so I left and am now looking for a new dental office.

Titusville Florida. I went in today for a consultation as I was looking for a new dentist. I have had regular check ups and cleaning every 6 months. I have insurance that covers my care. They took multiple xrays, had the hygienist come in who told me I needed deep cleaning and then re-cleaned every 3 months, then the dentist came in and was pretty curt and told me that the manager would be in to give me my treatment plan. Now, we all know that dental insurance only pays for cleaning every 6 months, not 3 months, just take note. Their treatment plan included the deep cleaning some kind of antibiotic treatment and I am not sure what else but it added up to hundreds of dollars that were not covered by my insurance. I said no, I only want my teeth cleaned every 6 months like is normal. They told me I had to accept their treatment plan and pay for it. I told them that I did NOT have to accept their treatment plan and they would never see me again and thanked them for wasting my time. I have never had such an awful experience at a dental office. They are determined to upcharge for uncovered unnecessary treatments. I would warn everyone I know to stay away from them.

NEVER AGAIN! Been going here for years, but today I figured out why there's always a different dentist at every visit. No moral, ethical person would work here. I went for a simple checkup and cleaning. Checkup was fine, but then was told needed a deep cleaning. For 60 years every hygenist has told me that I do an impeccable job of brushing and cleaning. Today, however, I needed a deep cleaning?!?! I refused and said I wanted a regular cleaning. I was told they wouldn't do a regular cleaning because the dentist recommended a deep cleaning. Never in my life has any medical professional ever DEMANDED I follow their recommendation, nor refused service because I didn't agree. I walked out the door and will NEVER return. I will also be reporting to my insurance company since I'm sure Sage will try to charge for the cleaning that didn't happen.

I started going to Sage Dental when it was owned by Dr. Batliner and it was 5 stars care and service at that time. Even when it was sold I continued to be a patient to the new dental group. Unfortunately, It slowly went down hill from there. It was the last straw when I had a dental emergency and they treated me like I was a stranger even though I had been a patient for over 10 years. I called their emergency call number on a Saturday and didn’t even get a call back. I called again on Monday and they said they could not get me in until Friday! With terrible pain, I had to find a new dentist, and thank God I was able to find a great dentist in Boulder. Sage dental never again!

had a extraction on June 26 2023 this practice is in network they charged me 44.00 which insuance coverage shows no out of pocket cost I requested my refund and was told not until insurance pays claim. My insurance customer service also contacted the billing office at cornerstone blvd in daytona and was told not until insurance claim is paid. Also they are billing customer the difference between Insurance payment and dental invoice. Not acceptable if your in network they are suppose to take payment from insurance co as payment in full.

Would not give us a print out of how much credit we had borrowed money from care credit last time we went kept me there over 2 hrs my wife waiting in waiting room no water no one checked on her I finally told calledthem we had to go asked how much credit w dollarse had they said 2,000.oo I said we wont be back manager said you would get your money back 2 months later she lied to us every time we called office they yiur money in mail

I am done with Sage Dental. Since they have taken over for Dental USA at Cornerstone in Daytona Beach, I have found them to be unfriendly and not concerned about keeping patients. My wife and I were patients at Dental USA for three years and never had an issue. My wife went for a tooth concern on March 1 to what is now Sage Dental, and they gave her an exam but didn't treat the tooth. I was billed $25.00 for an annual deductible and sent in a check. Sage never cashed the check. On a follow-up visit, my wife came to her scheduled appointment, after receiving three reminders about it. When she arrived for the 2 PM time, the two Sage office staff personnel were leaving and she was told that there was no doctor there. There was no explanation or apology from the staff. She has since been to another dentist, where she again paid the $25 annual deductible because Sage's claim was not sent to or processed by my insurance company by her May 23 appointment at the new dentist. I suspect that in the takeover transition, someone did not file in a timely fashion despite my reminders to the office staff that they do so. After being hounded by Sage for three months for the $25.00, being threatened with it going to collections, and having email exchanges and phone conversations with the office manager, I decided to pay it (along with another $15.00 not covered by insurance) and will be seeing another dentist. When I went for my first appointment at Sage in June, I found the staff to be unfriendly. The hygienist never introduced herself nor did the doctor who examined me. Stay away from this group. They are more about the dollars than caring about their patients.
