I had received California lifeline service with Tracphone Safelink for years. When I needed a phone replaced, Safelink sent me 2 bad phones that could not be serviced. One had an invalid IMEI and the second one was infested with viruses and malware and failed after a few hours. SafeLink charged me $44 for the second phone saying that funding cuts to the CA lifeline program required this. This was an untrue statement as I talked with the CA public utilities commission about this! I've filed a complaint with the CPUC to get my money back. A total failure of service and misleading a disabled customer. No more free phones for me.

I bought the 13 apple phone with the PRO-4 earbuds, and they broke, and I tried to call customer service was hung up on me three times. After getting an agent in another county she put me on hold, and while iam writing this, it sounds like a party in another asian language and never came back to the phone. i will never forget this; it is one of the worst and worst communication experiences from Safelink.

Terrible service all the way around. Customer Service is a joke. The customer is always right motto is no longer even a saying anymore. My service is from ACP, free phone. Which I totally appreciate. However, it has constant issues. They change the plan without notice. They do not know how to troubleshoot. I had a reoccuring issue that took months to fix. (5 stars for those rare agents) I asked what they did to finally get it fixed. When it happened again took me several calls back in, couple weeks, to get an agent to listen to me on the fix. They give text book answers. Even then getting same answer twice is next to impossible. Just awful all the way around. If I knew of an attorney I would so be reaching out for the lost money. When data runs out i always always pay to get more. Been ripped off more than i care to admit.

Safelink claimed my phone was compatible with their service, but five days after inserting the SIM and activating service, I still had no data connection. Well over four hours on the phone with its supposed customer service repetitively going through its approved troubleshooting steps made no difference whatsoever. Finally, Safelink told me it was sending me a new SIM, but fully a week later had not even shipped it. I knew Tracfone was a disaster from having had service with it over fifteen years ago; it has not improved in the interim.

Purchased the unlimited year plan. My phone broke so I purchased a new phone and switched sim cards. My unlimited plan was taken and a new plan was given for switching devices. 1200 minutes and 2,000 text messages was given instead of unlimited for a year.

Just wanted to make an international call. The girl said they can sell me unlimited international calls for a one time flat fee of 14.91. She never gave me an access number and the call didn’t go through. I looked up and found that it didn’t exist. No offer like this existed and it was a scam. Now I have to dispute and change my card number. Serves me right to call outside the greatest country on earth. Land of the free 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

Sometime around 2020 and 2022 I bought a Samsung Galaxy j2 android smartphone not aware that it was soon to become obsolete, or that the internal storage was only 16GB. In December my phone started to alert me that it was running out of storage space. I contacted Tracfone and decided to get another phone which was considered a budget model. No one told me that I would be paying full price. I am a Safelink customer. I didn't have the presence of mind to mention that I was very stressed out. The customer service agent said the price was $169 plus a service plan which I didn't want and when you add in taxes it came to $181.23. I ended up getting a Sandisk micro memory card 128 gb and was using that not realizing that I had to charge the lithium ion battery or it would degrade. When I started to have problems with my j2 Galaxy phone I removed the memory card. When I tried to charge the A32 5g phone all that happened was it started to pulse it never charged. I called Tracfone and explained the situation. I was never told that it had a limited warranty and that it had expired. I wanted to return the phone and asked for a prepaid return shipping label. The agent said not to worry ( meaning not to bother) that I would be getting a replacement phone. If I hadn't called Tracfone again I would still be waiting and wondering when I would be receiving my replacement phone. The first time I called I was talking to the agent for 30 minutes then the phone went dead. I had no idea what happened. If I hadn't reset the phone I would have been without any phone even for emergencies. Then I called back a second time and exactly as before at almost 30 minutes the same thing happened. I finally wised up, they deliberately disconnected the calls. One agent told me to go to Walmart, Target or Bestbuy and have them charge the phone to see it it was the charger or the battery. To boot there was a problem with reception I thought that the agents would disconnect because of poor reception. Verizon owns this company shame on them and their lousy customer service. In the meantime I'm out $181.23 and it looks like I will have to spend more for inferior quality phones and worse service. I want to clarify that it's the Samsung Galaxy j2 that I added the Sandisk micro memory card to. The Samsung Galaxy A32 5g is the new phone that I never activated and should have been able to return.upon doing some checking I found out the my phone's warranty may be a year not a month as stated by Tracfone. Since it was published December 9th it shows still be under warranty plus I have my bank statement with The date of purchase and who and where I purchased it. In this case Tracfone plus the IMEI number.

Provide agents with better complied data of accounts. Also should not take an hour to resolve an issue. I really do not think Tracfone gives a darn about it's customers.
