Terrible experience with this company. The crews loading and unloading my items were good, but everything else was not a pleasant experience. My initial quote to move from Florida to Indiana was $5976 (Base Price $5400). This was based on an estimate of 12000 cubic feet. By the time my stuff made it to my new home, the cost of the move doubled. I had to be out of my home by April 15th, so I had no choice but to stick with Safebound. I was initially told my items would be delivered 7-10 business days from pickup (April 11th). What Safebound does not tell you upfront is that your items go into a storage warehouse, where it sits until they can find a driver heading in your direction. My items finally arrived at my new home on April 25th. When my items arrived to Indiana, they were in good shape, except I was missing an expensive extension ladder, a second ladder and a Bluetooth speaker that was attached my golf cart. The driver who unloaded my items did not give me the option to note these things, despite me telling him they were missing. I paid them (insisted on money orders despite a sales rep telling me credit cards were acceptable) signed documents so they would unload. Filed a claim with CSI who, of course, tells me I signed that everything was received and nothing was missing. Also of note, I tipped the crew loading my items in Florida via Zelle. The driver called me to confirm I sent the tip, but forgot to hang up. I was on speakerphone listening to the driver insult me because I guess I did not tip him enough. Needless to say, I would not recommend this company to anyone, especially if you are looking for a door to door, low cost moving option.

To all potential customers of Safebound, beware: this company is a complete scam. At first, they lure you in with a decent quote compared to others, and you fall for it, just like I did. But then, right in the middle of your move, they demand an extra $600. Then, they drive off in the opposite direction with all your furniture. This company shouldn't even have a license; it’s a disgrace and a prime example of outright racketeering. Without any exaggeration, I've never experienced anything so outrageous. To make matters worse, two of my finest paintings were torn. It’s hard to imagine a worse scenario. Avoid Safebound at all costs!

This has to be one of the worst companies, although it seems most of them in Florida have a scam going on. I called a "moving" company to get a quote. Salesperson says all the right things and when I ask point black if this is moving company or a broker, he said they were a moving company. That was the first lie although didn't find out until a few days afterwards. When I called second time to cancel, I was on the hook for $600 to cancel. The "moving" company they contracted to was terrible reviews, so they switched to another company. But the reviews from Safebound was terrible as well, and the google reviews were fictitious. When Safebound came for pickup, they charged me 45% more than quoted. The original quote was $3700 and now I was being charged $5800. I had just moved to Florida 7 months ago, knew what I had inventory wise. I was able to remove 7 boxes (MD & LG) from the count, which should have made it less expensive, not more. At pickup location, claimed it was all packed into a nice truck with lines painted on the ceiling, and would be on its way in a day or so. Not. I found out that it went to a warehouse for weeks. They didn't give me a call for timing. Late Friday afternoon three weeks later, the driver called to deliver tomorrow, a Saturday when no one was going to be there. Had to scramble to try to make it work, as they said it was costing me more money. The driver was definitely a contractor as well as the truck. The system was all designed to manipulate people and extort more money from every opportunity. And those lines on the ceiling of the truck, are false. The cubic feet is not legit and typical moves for 1, 2, 3 bd apt have standard cubic feet. Look them up on any website for how big a truck you need. Their lines would be a third or less than a typical move. Note, I worked for our family moving co in CA and I can see how Safebound is baiting and switching customers with pricing.

Stop cheating with wardrobe boxes almost empty. Don’t trust their cubic foot measure. The workers once they arrived worked hard, but leader at loading and delivery wanted tips. Also, at loading kind of pushed for a google review.

Gave us a quote and took our deposit - upped the price by 75% upon turning up. Two hours later increased the price another 25%. Said it would be delivered 4 days later - two weeks later we still have no idea where our stuff is (even which state it is in) or when it will be delivered

Safebound completely took advantage of my (sharp) 86 year old mother. The sales rep, Luke, reviewed her items and my mother sent a video. His quote had 30 small to medium boxes with NO wardrobe boxes. She had a walk-in and double closet full of clothes. He also told my Mom that soft clothes could remain in her dresser. On moving day the movers told us he absolutely would not move loaded dressers! More boxes, this time purchased from them on moving day. The actual cost was 1.5x’s more than the quote!!!! Repeatedly we were told by Luke and Junior in customer service, “5-7 business days” from pick up for delivery. On day 7, the truck still had not left Florida! The customer service manager refused to believe his team could have said these things to us, yet every call is recorded. Of course, we never heard back regarding confirmation of our conversations! Stay away from Safebound they caused tremendous stress and aggravation right up to delivery day!

I have written a review on April 14, 2024. As of today they still have not shipped our belongings across country. They are now willing to offer a discount monetarily if I remove the bad review. I will not until I know my things are on their way, and not just being told, I need proof because nothing they say so far has panned out. They do not know me or who I know. Do not use this company!!!!

The worst!! Anyone Is better. Shabby handling of valuable possessions and inflated contract after the fact.
