My Sabrent Rocket XTRM 4TB Thunderbolt 5 Portable SSD works great. It's small and fast. I use it as a Time Machine backup drive for my Mac. Take note: I connected the drive directly to a 2026 Mac Studio Thunderbolt 5 port. However, I found that the drive kept unmounting spontaneously. What I learned was that the drive needs a more robust power output than the Thunderbolt 5 port could supply. When I bought a Thunderbolt Dock with an external power supply and connected the drive through the Dock, everything worked well, and there have been no more spontaneous unmounts. Just something to consider. Note that this drive is also very warm most of the time. That's apparently normal, but just keep it in mind. I took the optional rubber jacket off, and the drive sits on my desktop.

Adapter works as advertised. Somewhat slow to ship.

I have bought some USB cables and SSD enclosures from this brand. Very good quality for the price, although one enclosure was overheating.

Overall a great product with one minor issue. Build quality is excellent. I installed a Gen 4 Nvme 2TB and tested the read/write speed and it’s hitting 3.2 Gbps. The one minor issue is the fan. It’s louder than expected. I’m using it with a new Mac Mini M6 which is very quiet.

Bought a SATA docking station for an old WD 1TB 3.5" hard drive. The drive case fit perfectly in the dock but the HD connector did not want to mate with the dock until I put significant pressure in line with the drive toward the connector. I was expecting an easy fit. It would be helpful to know beforehand of a snap fit so I could be sure I was not breaking it. Drive worked great once installed.
