I purchased a Sabrent USB 3.0 Sharing switch to toggle between a Mac Pro Mid 2012 and a Mac Mini M2 2023. I should mention that the 2012 Mac Pro is only equipped with USB 2.0 ports. The USB 2.0 ports on the Mac Pro created an extreme delay on toggling the USB from the Mac Mini to the Mac Pro. (I had an older USB 2.0 switch that I replaced with the Sabrent switch.) Because the toggle rate was so unpredictable with USB 2.0, I purchased a PCIe card with four USB 3.2 ports and installed it in the Mac Pro. Wow! What a difference!) Once I received the necessary USB 3.2 cables that I had ordered online, I set up the Sabrent USB 3.0 switch and tested it out. It worked flawlessly and continues to do so! Thanks Sabrent! Excellent product!

I have the 4, 7, and 10 USB 3.0 switched versions, one of each. All of them work as advertised and offer sustained write speeds up to outboard SMR drives at 60-70 Mbs. The fact that they have switches is very useful as my 5TB drives are in a WORM configuration. Being able to turn them off stops all of the micro-writes that Win 11 likes to do to drives. Overall, I am very impressed, and next I am going to look at the 16-port for all of my archive drives. I rip DVDs, using the 10-port; it has 2 burners and 4- 5TB drives on it, and the hub handles reads and writes to/from both burners very well, with no apparent bottlenecks. I use TeraCopy to move/copy MKVs, and any write caching is only the drives being slow in nature. In my opinion, you could do much worse. I recommend these as they have proved solid and reliable as of this review.
