The home buying experience with Ryan was horrible!
The sales experience with Ryan was fine. Scott Ackerman was very persistent with me and my wife getting us to enter into a contract To purchase a home in Sea Trail in Sunset Beach NC. We agreed to do financing with the parent company NVR to save on closing costs, $10,000 savings, that’s when all the problems started! We were assigned to a Bailey with NVR and things went south! Bailey failed to call me and my wife with a scheduled 3 way call to go over everything NVR needed for the loan. She never called! I called her some minutes later and she didn’t answer! I received a call back from her within 30 seconds. She stated she had a child that was acting up that’s why she didn’t call! I ask Ryan if we could be assigned to another agent and a Dominick the regional manager for the finance agents for NVR got offended and said that agents didn’t work pass 5:00 P:M. The call we scheduled with Bailey was for 5:30 P:M that she agreed upon. I didn’t here from Ryan for almost a week and then talked to Scott, the sales rep, he said he would try to get us assigned to a Nicole, another agent in that area, to handle the loan. Well more time went by and finally we decided we didn’t want to deal with Ryan anymore. We requested a release from the contract do to failure of Ryan’s finance company, which actually NVR owns Ryan, to uphold the financing part of the contract. We received a call from Nicole a few days later and I told her we decided to move on. She acted like she didn’t know what was going on. Scott called me soon after and said we violated the contract and would loose our $10,000 deposit! We felt like saying who really violated the contract! This big nationwide builder has big pockets and expensive lawyers! Do not I repeat do not put yourself in our position if you know what I mean! There are good local contractors that can build your home without all the politics and loss of your hard earned money!
