STAY AWAY FROM THE PRIME TRAVELLERS CLUB Membership!!
STAY AWAY FROM THE PRIME TRAVELLERS CLUB MEMBERSHIP, it is a scam! They promise you $1,000’s of benefits but they actually lie and mislead you. They do not even commit to what is in the contract. Very shameful for a company associated with the Royalton name. Such a scammer business model! Their agents told us a lot of lies in answers to our questions. Just want others to be aware that if you get persuaded to go to a meeting and like what you hear make sure you do not go and sign anything. They do not even honour what is in the contract. Plus they lie a lot about what they provide. BUYER BEWARE

Customer service from HELL
Recently stayed at the Royalton Vessence Barbados in the month of June (2026).
What cannot be denied — The resort is beautiful and immaculate; the resort opened their doors maybe 2 days prior to our stay. The decor was modern, most staff were very professional and helpful and the location is in a prime area which allows for site seeing on foot. Rooms very spacious and clean. Noise level moderate based upon events that are occurring but nothing out of the ordinary.
Please note: We were very open minded knowing that the resort made its debut grand opening a few days prior to arrival, therefore we were fully aware and accepted growing pains would need to be worked out and expected. Also we were informed that their were only 44 guest on the property — not crowded at all.. not sure about staffing issues but was informed resort was fully staffed.
Nonetheless a certain level of commitment, professionalism and experiences are expected when reserving, booking and paying an exceptional amount of money for services. For the price paid, my experience was very limited and during my stay, I encountered some bothersome issues which made for some unpleasant moments during what was to be a very special ANNIVERSARY VACATION.
Some areas they need to review: there was a major lack of food and top shelf spirits on several occasions and at several bars/restaurants (was informed there was no lettuce for garden salads on several occasions - who doesn’t have lettuce?!?!?)
The wait times regardless of reservations with restaurants were significantly high.
Room service def an hour or more
Encountered rude service from waitress during a breakfast shift — which we was seated by the hostess and waited over an hour and a half without a glass of water or being spoken too. Then a couple at a table next to us requested a manger ( they were not helped either) and the manager proceeds to tell us both WHAT SHE WILL NOT DO…. Which did not sit well with me at ALL. —- JUST KNOW WE DID NOT EAT BREAKFAST WITH THEM THAT MORNING AND I SAW THE OTHER COUPLE LATER AND THEY STATED THEIR BREAKFAST CAME OUT TOTALLY WRONG.
Diamond Club status and the lack of amenities that were unavailable was horrific, lack of replenishing room beverages, did not keep their word on arrival gift, did not alert or update on all amenities that come with status, etc.
So….
I reached out to the Marriott Brand to which they pushed me off to the Royalton Level (Royalton is an extension of Marriott) before this post and management is NO BETTER. You will NOT receive updates/solutions — which shows they don’t value their loyalty members or care to obtain loyalty members.
Therefore tread lightly going to Royalton Barbados especially if it’s for a purposeful event in your life and want beautiful memories. After this experience I am not sure if I would want to become a loyalty member.
And please note. I reached out to the hotel and company . They reached back out and DID NOT UPHOLD THEIR END of rectifying the situation. Just sad.

Worst Cancun property
Worst hotel I have ever stayed. I travel for work and in my leisure time and Royalton Splash Riviera Cancun is not a hotel I would ever pick again. My family and I were disappointed. First, the Front Desk staff are corrupt, deceitful, and typical extortionists. Upon arrival, I was forced to pay an additional $982 for my 8 and 10 year old son despite the fact that (3) people were on my reservation. Following that they have no concept of what a "Suite" is, drinks are watered down, food is terrible, and service is even worse. There are only two good restaurants 1) Zen Teppanyaki and 2) Grazie the rest need better chefs and menus. The location is not great, its far from everything you can't walk anywhere. The only good thing was their public facilities were clean. Their so-called water park was a 5 of 10. Life is too short and your money too valuable than to spend time at a Royalton resort. There are so many better options. Due to their cheating me at check-in I booked all my excursions and activities through an outside agency. I didn't give one more dime to the hotel. I will stay at RIU, Sandals, or Iberostar in the future.

A absolute rip-off
5 star luxury that’s a joke the service is non-existent diamond club an absolute rip-off staff don’t want to do anything Tui and the hotel should be taken to court for what they offer but don’t deliver. Please do not go to this resort. They are absolutely useless. I work hard for my money and it was completely wasted.
Never again

I would not recommend Royalton Punta…
I would not recommend Royalton Punta Cana Hideaway, especially if you're paying extra for Diamond Club. Unfortunately, this was one of the most disappointing resort experiences I've had.
From the moment we arrived, things got off to a bad start. Check-in was painfully slow and disorganized. After traveling all day, we had to wait more than three hours before our room was finally ready. There was very little communication during that time, and no sense of urgency from the staff to accommodate guests.
As Diamond Club guests, we expected a premium level of service, but that simply wasn't our experience. Our mini bar was stocked only once during our entire stay, despite requests for it to be refilled. We never received the advertised nightly turndown service, and housekeeping repeatedly failed to leave washcloths in our room. We had to call several times just to receive basic amenities that should have been provided automatically.
The room itself showed noticeable wear and lacked basic conveniences. The steam iron provided in our room was broken and covered with rust, making it unusable. There wasn't even a blow dryer in the room, which was another inconvenience we did not expect from a resort that advertises itself as luxury.
The overall customer service was poor. While there were a few friendly employees, many staff members came across as rude, dismissive, or bothered when asked for assistance. Instead of feeling welcomed, we often felt like we were inconveniencing them.
The food was by far the biggest disappointment. Nearly every meal we had was either cold, overcooked, or simply not good. It became frustrating to spend so much money only to struggle to find a decent meal. Restaurant reservations were difficult to get, wait times were long, and even after finally being seated, the food quality rarely justified the wait.
The entertainment was another letdown. There were very few well-planned activities throughout the day or evening, and the resort lacked energy. Most of the entertainment ended around 10:00 p.m., leaving only the bars open. If you're looking for a lively resort with exciting nightlife, this isn't it.
The worst part of our trip, however, was the excursion we booked through the hotel. We were instructed to arrive at 8:00 a.m., but due to poor organization, nothing actually began until nearly 11:00 a.m. After wasting hours waiting, everything felt rushed, disorganized, and, at times, unsafe.
The horseback riding was especially disturbing. The horses appeared to be in poor physical condition and did not seem to be well cared for. During our excursion, one of the horses actually collapsed while carrying a woman, which was heartbreaking and alarming to witness. My husband was also injured during the ziplining portion of the excursion. The zipline equipment and course did not appear to be well maintained, and the overall operation lacked the level of safety and professionalism we expected. The so-called cave swim was underwhelming and not worth the time. To make matters worse, nearly every stop focused more on trying to sell us additional products and souvenirs than providing an enjoyable experience.
The adults-only Hideaway section also failed to feel exclusive or relaxing. There was very little that distinguished it from the rest of the resort, making it difficult to justify paying the additional cost for Diamond Club.
For the amount we spent, this experience was far below expectations. A luxury resort should provide exceptional service, quality food, attention to detail, enjoyable entertainment, and carefully vetted excursions. Instead, we experienced long waits, poor service, disappointing food, broken room amenities, and premium benefits that were never delivered.
I left feeling like I paid for a five-star vacation but received an average experience. Between the lack of Diamond Club service, the poor food, rude staff, inadequate room amenities, disorganized operations, and the unsafe excursion experience, I will not be returning and cannot recommend Royalton Punta Cana Hideaway to anyone looking for the luxury vacation it promises.

PUNTA Cana resort
PUNTA Cana resort. This is advertised as a 5 star is more a 2.5 star. Unfriendly staff throughout the hotel, who would rather stand round and talk to colleagues than serve or help you. The only staff who said good morning was the garden staff and maids other than that you are ignored. We went for takeout pizza but couldn’t have it as they had run out of plates, only one flavour of ice cream in the ice cream parlour, checked opening times for the buffet restaurant but it wasn’t opened!, buffet is like a school canteen, you are lucky to get a drink of water with your meal. No toilet seat in hotel main toilet. Went to have lunch round the pool was told we couldn’t take forks but we can use disposable which they didn’t have until the next day. Dirty pools , you can’t see the bottom, green tide line around edge. This is just a few of the things wrong. The list is endless!! Steer clear

Unsafe environment
At night the entire compound is very dark with mostly solar lights. I sustained a fall and twisted my ankle going down the dark stairs to Dorado restaurant. Ended up needing medical attention!!

1 Star – Extremely Disappointing Experience at Royalton Antigua
What should have been a special family holiday has turned into one of the most disappointing resort experiences we’ve ever had.
We have been staying at Royalton Antigua from 28 May to 8 June and have encountered issue after issue throughout our stay. On 1 June, I formally raised concerns with the Diamond Club reception and requested that management contact me directly. Despite assurances that this would be escalated, four days later nobody from management had contacted us. That lack of accountability perfectly sums up our experience.
The problems included rude and dismissive staff, frequent food and drink shortages across the resort, confirmed restaurant reservations that mysteriously didn’t exist when we arrived, poor maintenance, dirty pool areas, and Diamond Club benefits that offered little value despite the additional cost.
Hygiene standards were particularly concerning. We found cockroaches in accommodation and shower areas, showers that were not properly cleaned, and a hydrotherapy experience where many facilities were out of service. Around the resort there were obvious maintenance issues, including damaged areas around the swim-up bar.
The final straw came when my three-year-old nephew picked up dog faeces from the pool area with his bare hands. There also appeared to be an ongoing problem with dog fouling on the beach. For a resort marketing itself as a luxury family destination, this is simply unacceptable.
The only positive aspect of our stay was our butler, Dwayne, who consistently went above and beyond to help and was the only member of staff who seemed genuinely interested in resolving issues.
What makes this even more disappointing is that many other guests we spoke to reported similar experiences involving food shortages, cleanliness concerns, maintenance problems, and poor customer service.
We understand that operational issues can happen in any hotel. What we cannot accept is the complete lack of ownership, communication, and action when legitimate concerns are repeatedly raised.
Royalton Antigua falls far short of the 5-star luxury experience it advertises. Based on our experience, I would not recommend this resort and would strongly advise prospective guests to consider alternative options.
