Hard to navigate this application compared to what it used to be

Cost is a little higher than expected, but you're paying more for convenience. Guess its worth it although only if you have extra money to spend. Great looking app, easy to use but tricky to get used to at first. A lot of the pages look the same and the messaging system took a minute to get the hang of.

I recently just moved from my home state to the east coast and used rover for the first time to watch my dog. My first experiance wasn’t the greatest the dog sitter I booked for a house sitting for one night didn’t actually stay overnight and just popped in a couple of times and on one visit brought someone with into my home. Thank god for security cameras. I’ve since moved on and am trying a new sitter that’s working out well but I will say I’m a little disappointed with rovers support team which doesn’t really support anything. When I contacted them asking two very specific question it took three emails to get them to answer them and they were evasive I’m the answer. I was a bit under the impression by how they market themselves with the background check and such that they would have some type of a code of conduct for the sitter but it doesn’t appear they do. They were not very helpful in my situation and actually expected me to confront the sitter about the issues which I think is a bit of a safety concern considering they know where you live and they could get confrontational with you addressing them. So i am opting to not address the sitter who I clearly just will not use again and left an honest review about but I feel if rover actually took a part in the conduct of the sitters owners like me would have to weed through the issue sitters ourselves. Bottom line rover is just a website hosting the sitter so you can find them. That aren’t standing behind anything or addressing problem providers which is unfortunate.

I made arrangements for Monday-Friday for a total of five nights, but I dropped my dogs off on Monday and picked them up on Friday, so they didn't spend the night. I still got charged for the night. I would have given a five star review, but that just kind of sucked. I rushed back to pick them up early because I had something to do Saturday. Maybe I just should have waited until Saturday to pick them up so I wouldn't be charged for time they were back with me.

I think your service is ideal and a great way to connect to pet caregivers, however, I feel you take advantage of the members with your overly exorbitant service fees! Someone told me you mark up their charges by 20%! That’s ridiculous and verging on the level of pure greed and extortion!

Your page is not user-friendly with the phone app. I have tried at least 20 different times and ways to figure out how to remove a pet from your site and there is no way to remove anything. I've also emailed you folk several times asking you to remove the one that says removed I only have one animal and I accidentally clicked onto a second one and tried to remove it but was unable to. Your phone app is very complicated

I used Rover a great deal in the past up until 2 years ago. I went back to use them again and found all (or the ones I looked at) the petsitter were charging out the full nightly rate for each animal, making it very expensive to go this route for longer house-sits. I'm sorry, but 3 animals are not that much work than one and before I would get a group rate, x $/night for the crew. Now, even at $20/each/night, it adds up to a whopping amount over 10 days. Sadly, I have to explore other options.

Good access to a great contractors. The platform is hard to change a job once you’ve posted. Moving throughout the platform on the app vs laptop is clunky.
