I am extremely disappointed in Rover.com. My walker , Sam had been very reliable and walked my dog for at least 20 times. Then there was an issue where he said my dog bit him when "spooked" by another dog. I asked the walker what happened and got no response. I asked Rover, and again no response. I still don't know what happened and Rover canceled my account. Don't trust these people. They do not have the pet owners best interest in mind. I'm not sure they have the sitters interest either. Regarding Rover's reply below, I've not been contacted by any "agent" I did however get a notice of termination with the stipulation that this cannot be appealed. Good Luck with Rover.

Charges keep adjusting and new charges coming after service is completed. Charge amounts don't match what they should be. Emails go unanswered and the phone number is permanently busy. The walker was great but this company needs to communicate with clients and fire whoever is supervising the development team. Whoever replied that I should call support should try that number. Been trying for days. Literally called 30+ times. Busy every time.

Trying to set up an account and continually being locked out because I have apparently exceeded number of attempts to verify my phone number - yet never actually managed to get a code. And one of those typical run you around in circles help bot. Not impressed at all

Interview the crap out of who will be watching your house and dogs. I will not be using Rover again. Be cautious and aware of the person especially in the first time. Ours used our house like an Airbnb instead a job. Nothing was done about it. After the first day our amazing neighbors had to take over the responsibility. Very stressful being out of the country having to deal with an immature, inexperienced person invading our private space in our home.

Terrible Experience – 1 Star I entrusted my 10-lb dog to this sitter for a week stay. By the time I picked him up, he was severely ill with pancreatitis—vomiting and pooping blood—and I spent $2,000 on emergency vet care. Rover’s insurance refused to cover the bill, and the sitter showed zero understanding of proper treat limits. The sitter fed my small dog two entire Ziploc bags of treats in one week. Excessive treats triggered acute pancreatitis, a life-threatening condition. Upon pickup, my dog was vomiting and pooping blood; immediate hospitalization was required. Impact on My Dog Severe dehydration and pain. Intensive care, medications, and diagnostics over multiple days. Emotional and financial stress for our family. Rover Response Submitted claim to Rover’s insurance. Claim denied: “no coverage for negligence.” Left responsible for the full $2,000 vet bill. Takeaway for Fellow Pet Owners I expected a trained, trustworthy sitter—especially through a platform like Rover. Unfortunately, this sitter lacked even the basic knowledge of treat portioning for a small dog. Please think twice before booking, ask specific questions about feeding protocols, and consider a backup in case of sitter negligence.

They suspended my account without telling me or explaining anything.

j'ai voulu réserver un créneau pour garder mes chiens a domicile et une pet sisteur m'a contacte elle était intéressé et au moment ou j'alle réserver elle me dit qu'elle avait une autre réservation de prévu . je pense que c'est une excuse bidon sur ce site j'ai envoyé plusieurs demande et je n'ai eu qu'une réponse qui ce révèle bidon site a FUIR!!!!!!!!

A sitter I booked cancelled a booking because of health reasons. I never received the refund because the account I used for the booking has now closed. I spoke to Jessa Marie who told me if the account is closed Rover would not issue the refund to another account or my Rover account. Don't use this company unless you are 100% you will not be moving bank accounts in the future.
