I really liked the service that Rover provided. However, the first sitter that we found through my husband‘s account was a fail. So I had to look for a different sitter, which was a very successful experience. I am not sure if my husband will request his money back, I think he should, because after paying for three days, the dog was only there for a couple of hours. other than that rover.com worked very nice for me.

Easy to search for rovers near you and read reviews before selecting one. One recommendation is to make it easier to review and approve change in appointment after it has started (i.e. extend boarding). Currently, it seems you can only do this by logging on to the rover website to do this. It would be nice to do this from the app too as when one is traveling, you may not have access to a computer to extend the boarding.

I have had a great experience with Rover over the past few years (have used it several times). I had to remove one star because of one house sitting incident where the dog/house sitter's profile was one person, and the profile person and her boyfriend showed up (no mention that it was a couple that would stay in my house).

It is hard to rate someone as obviously we are not there when the sitter is. We can only base our review on photos that are sent and what the sitter shares with us.

Rover.com provided a lovely young person to care for my 2 elderly dogs while my family was away. I received a daily photo report which gave me comfort that the dogs were being well taken care of. There were no issues during our absence. Since my dogs required what I consider to be minimal work (no long exercise walks, primarily preparing their breakfast and dinner, potty breaks out the back door and cuddling on the couch) my only complaint is the extra charges for the second dog.

It's a great service, but I was unable to find a way to search for the sitter by name only. This would make a search easier and the ability to set parameters such as distance. Otherwise, I was extremely pleased

I’ve had good experiences for the most part. I had a really bad experience once because I let a Rover employee have her friend watch my dogs while she went to an out of town wedding. This friend got drunk and laid in my couch, leaving my poor dogs in their kennel, for 15+ hours. I was livid. I’d say stick to Rover employees, not their friends. Most of my experiences have been positive and great in fact. So happy I can find good people through Rover. My only reason for giving 4 stars is the price. It’s gotten super expensive.
