I've had great experience with dog walkers and drop in checks. It's been difficult to find people willing to do extended care, even when their profile offers it and they are available.

Great concept and was easy to use. Everything worked out well for our pups. The information on the payment is not great. It is hard to tell if the sitter was paid and how much. However, I doubt I will use the service again because I was very uncomfortable leaving my dogs with a stranger. This particular sitter didn’t allow me to enter her home, so I had no idea if the home was clean or not. I just foresee a lot of issues that could occur and don’t trust strangers in this current world.

I find Rover very helpful to find suitable dog sitters for our dog with more complex needs. But I don't find its site very easy to use, or to go backwards to look at alternative sitters and do more searches. Also you can't enquire from a sitter re dog acceptability unless they are available against a specific date, so you can't see who might be particularly suitable in your local area as options to check their dates. Rover also implies it supports Easyfundraising, but it doesn't. When I queried declined Easyfundraising transactions from Rover, Rover said the transaction had to be made in one go, which is impossible using Rover since all bookings require 3 steps - 1) submission, 2) acceptance and 3) confirm booking. One of my regular sitters on Rover left the site, because Rover wouldn't help or correct errors against her entry.
