Sitter was terrible. Didn’t follow instructions regarding medication or wearing geo tracking collar (dog dug under fence (not watched or wearing collar, left with boyfriend we never met or knew he was here) and gone for 3 hours), brought her toddler AND dog, lied about several things observed on LR camera before she turned it to face wall. Unbelievable.

I booked with rover and two days before pick up. The sitter refused to give me my car back without more payment. They threatened to call police and claim I abandoned my car and neglected them. They are extorting me and using my cats to do it. Rover has not responded to me for 3 days and no assistance for me with my cats.

Horrific experience. Hired a dog sitter to care for our elderly dog. Came home do a sick dog and a hard wood floor destroyed with urine. Neighbors said they barely saw her at the house. Came to find out she had just started a new relationship - I guess my poor pup took the backseat. Rover.com took no responsibility.

My dog was injured under the care of a Rover sitter. The sitter failed to inform me and denied the incident, even though I picked up my dog with an infected wound. After taking my dog to the vet, Rover approved my claim and partially reimbursed the bill. I'm giving one star because I disagree with Rover's policy requiring the owner to pay the first $250. If an injury occurs while under a sitter's care and a claim is approved, the sitter should be responsible for this amount, not the owner. Where is the sitter's accountability in this situation?

I have written 2 reviews already. And no one did a thing. It is ridiculous to continue to ask me for a review. The experience has been terrible from start to finish.

Our sitter Ashley J. never took care of our pets. Her first drop in lasted 4 minutes then she left. After multiple attempts to contact her and Rover’s failed attempts we had to locate another sitter on our own to quickly check on the safety of our pets. We cancelled the door lock access to our home do River sitter could no longer access the house after we secured care. Next morning said River sitter started drop in and posted picture of pets. This was impossible 1. She did not have access and 2. Our replacement sitters were the only ones on the camera entering residence. Refund was offered but no response to our request for extra to compensate our replacement sitter. The stress having to worry about our pets 1500 miles away was something I never want to experience nor have anyone else experience again. My review of this sitter was not posted snd she is still available as a sitter. Deception and neglect and still available as a Rover sitter. Help me make this make sense

Mind “Rover” the cheating platform! It requests $40dollar deposit when you registered. But when issue occurs, it gives no solution and no support, when you quit the platform, it swallows your deposit do no refund the user. Horrible! It is a designed trap, pet lovers don’t choose it!
