If your sitter tells you they can't come, but they don't actually cancel the appointment, Rover will still charge you for it. If you don't realize this and wait more than 48 hours to contact Rover about it, they will refuse to do anything about it, besides refund you the Rover fee. So, a sitter can just scam you out of your money and Rover will feel justified by saying "well, at least WE didn't charge you!" Ridiculous. No protection for clients.

Don't use Rover, There Are Better Services
House sitter was terrible and went missing for 1 of the days. We came home to poop and pee with flies everywhere and cat box was completely empty so dogs and cats were going to the bathroom everywhere.Rover said they would issue partial refund but lied and gave us credit instead which is worthless because we will never use them again.

Hi there, thank you for sharing this feedback. We’re so sorry to hear about the condition you came home to. That’s not the level of care we want any pet owner to experience. We understand how frustrating it must feel to receive account credit instead of the partial refund you expected. If you’re open to discussing this further, our Support Team is available 24/7 at (888) 453 - 7889 and would be glad to take another look. -Brittney

You might not get paid! Don’t use Rover!
Did my pet sit, owner is happy and has been booking me for years for her dog, suddenly I stopped getting payment for multiple bookings, owner wasn’t aware, I wasn’t aware until checked bank account. Rover’s customer service team is terrible and unhelpful, all they did the best is threatening to kick me out of their app and also suspended the dog owner’s Rover account. Honestly the worst app/pet sitting platform on earth. Watch out! They will do things behind your back, and as a pet sitter you might not get paid!!!NOT RECOMMEND!!
Charge super high fee 30% in total yet extremely awful and not helpful when there is payment problems.

Hi there, thank you for sharing this feedback. We’re sorry to hear about your experience. When an owner’s payment doesn’t go through, our system automatically sends them multiple emails to update their payment method. We’re sorry your client didn’t see those messages. We do everything we can to encourage owners to update their information, and when it isn’t updated, accounts may be paused to prevent a sitter from going unpaid for additional visits. We’re also sorry to hear about your interaction with our support team. If you’re willing to give us another opportunity to discuss this, our Support Team is available 24/7 at (888) 453 - 7889. -Brittney

Hiring a cat sitter should NEVER be this difficult!
There was confusion on a couple of levels. I researched all the different sitters. I picked the one I wanted to hire. I sent my request to book my selected sitter and much to my frustration, my request generated a response from another sitter that I had not wished to hire and not from the person that I wanted to hire. This actually happened twice! This required my having to tell the person(s) that Rover had made a mistake and that I had not contacted them nor wanted to hire them. Needless to say, this is not a good situation. Then, after many back-and-forth, tedious, email exchanges with Rover, I was able to get the sitter that I wanted to hire to get my request and respond to me. Then, there were a bunch of conflicts with the sitter's page charging schedule and what Rover presented was the case. For example, on the sitter rates listed, it showed that ONE of my requested days, Thanksgiving Day, would be charged at a holiday rate, but Rover showed that ALL FIVE of my requested visits days were to be charged at the much higher holiday rate. There were also discrepancies on how much the charge for extra cats would be. Rover, again, charging more than the sitter had posted. After many back-and-forth message exchanges with the sitter, we finally hired her, but because Rover had what her charges were wrong, and because there had already been so many back-and-forth exchanges with the sitter and with Rover, and with the sitter contacting Rover to clear things up, I gave up, and ended up paying more than the rate originally stated on the sitter's page that had originally made me select the sitter. After reading all this, I went back and changed my awarded stars down from three to one.

Hi there, thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We’re sorry for the confusion you experienced when trying to book your preferred sitter. Regarding the rates, Rover applies a sitter’s holiday rate to the entire booking if any part of the stay falls within a holiday period. We apologize that this wasn't clear and that your sitter didn't inform you of this. We’ve passed your comments along to our product team to review the booking flow and pricing display. If you’d like to revisit any part of your booking or need help sorting out rate concerns, our Support Team is available 24/7 at (888) 453-7889. -Brittney

Your advertisement is "nasty" and…
Your advertisement is "nasty" and inappropriate, has gotten to be done by Miliniells, where commonsense is obviously not a common virtue, with the music choice utilized in your advertizement. A dog walking business utilizing Music where a women is singing "im a NASTY girl, some body gonna match my FREAK, somebody Gonna match my NASTY." I would be afraid to employ your company for my animals. As the music is asking me, the customer, to "match" your companies "Freak" and pay for it. And that would be by me allowing you to walk my animal. Beastiality is a cruel and it is a crime. I believe thats the only thing your music choice, is inferring in this comercial. If there's something else its telling potential customers by your company being a "Nasty girl" and for me to "match" your "Freak" with my animal; please let me know. Talk to the creative director from the Ad firm you used and let me know, as you had to of approved it.

Quelques doutes
