Nicole answered quickly and communicated well. The first person I tried to contact never even responded and this happened last time I tried to use Rover services as well.

I could not easily change/edit the instructions I had written to the pet sitter. The website is cumbersome to use (not intuitive) and it continually was alerting me to a visit that had ended from 5 years ago. The pet sitter was fantastic!

It doesn’t list all locally to your zip. I was in a different area and was get different people in the area I was looking in? More filter refinements are needed to reduce excess hosts

I did not like that I was asked to tip after spending $350. I did not see anywhere during the reservation process that I would be asked to tip. That put a lot of pressure on me and I was only able to afford a small tip. Now I’m worried I offended the dog sitter. In addition, the money rover charges should be in a calculation chart in the first screen as well, not once you are already into the reservation process. Rover ended costing more than using a kennel.

My first sitter canceled on me at 630 AM on Sunday morning of Thanksgiving week. We ended up getting other coverage and Rover gave me a small credit, but it still cost me more than $100 difference. I don't know the young lady that left me hanging, but it felt like a very, very weak excuse. If I ever use this service again, I will make sure I have a backup plan and extra money on hand. The extra $100 as we were leaving for vacation affected our trip. Not cool.

I can’t stand that there is no way to cancel potential bookings. I ask 3 people if they are available, and 2 sit out there for a month until after the stay. I’ve asked for a fix to this or if I’m missing something, but no response. This is annoying enough to eventually make me stop using Rover

The app mostly works. But it is mind-numbing that you cannot cancel a request for a sitter (before they accept) if you find out they are unavailable, made a mistake, or the sitter simply does not respond at all, which often happens. There is no good reason to let mistaken, unresponded to, or unavailable requests to just linger out there, waiting for an acceptance that will not ever happen. The only person that can cancel is the sitter. Ridiculous!

App is clunky. You can’t filter sitters by distance. I keep getting the last drop in card flashing up even though walk was over a week ago. Also, it’s difficult to make last minute schedule changes in the app.
