Lots of good things. Great for funerals, weddings, etc out of town where you don’t know anyone. One bad experience with a dog sitter but all the rest great. Two things I dislike about Rover. 1. I would like to pick the secondary people being asked if they are interested, not just the initial person. 2. My home address is in one state but I have a second home in another state. When wanting someone in the second state, even though I give that address and zip, the first state address shows up too. Then I get responses that the potential dog sitters are out of my area.

Very good service with caring sitters available to take care of your pet. Only disappointment is the cancelation policy that reimburses only 50% of the amount paid for the first 7 days booked (even with adequate notice). I learned after the fact, that the policy is shown on the website if you drill down. Make sure you are ok with losing 50%of your payment in the event you have an issue requiring you to cancel, or only book one visit one at a time to minimize the risk if your plans change. A better solution would be to offer pet owners a credit for future bookings.

The platform is easy to use with good filters. Communication with potential pet sitters is through the company so private information is not shared until you are ready.
