As sitters are not employed by Rover and are independent business owners, we do encourage sitters to hold their own insurance policies for property damages that may occur during a booking. We would also like to assure you that should you decline a request that does not fit your servicing criteria, you will not be impacted by the decline. Hi Jeannie, we're so sorry for that experience. We do send out regular reminders to sitters to update their availability and their accounts are affected if they do not.
